A lot of people have heard of her, she is massive. Unfortunately though the average age of glastonbury goers is about 38.
Is this meant to imply that 38 is old?

Let's compromise on an act that is neither an enormous stadium filler nor on the cutting edge:
Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds to headline.
Seems much more reasonable than SZA

This forum is hilarious sometimes. On the one hand we have people calling for nobody lower in stature than the greatest artists in the world to headline the pyramid, and then we have people calling for someone called SZA who only a tiny minority of the world have even heard of. There must be a middle ground.

Mika supported by crisps on Friday.
Elbow supported by wotsits on Saturday.

Can you imagine the Daily Mail reader reaction?
Screaming raging crying. Definitely comments like Talent over Gender!!!! (That weird assumption that it would be untalenred perforners that comes from god knows where). If the word woke is not mentioned 7 or 8 times I'd be amazed. They definitely say the festival was finished. People who have not listened to any music since 1992 will be saying its lost it's way. Full on grown up men having tantrums in the comment section of clickbait facebook articles.. .
So what I'm saying is
I'm up for that.
Sounds good 😉
Pretty sure this all happens here too 👀

My Agreement is based on the fact the festival did a vote on this and people voted for flags.
Love or hate them now flags are here to stay.
People need to let go of the idea they can kick of on the internet and get there own way on this
Well if the people voted for it then it must be ok

Speaking of the future of Glastonbury, I remember a similar discussion for potential improvements when I was here years ago. I suggested some things they could do to use more green energy and make the festival carbon neutral. I was absolutely LAMBASTED by people saying the festival does enough already, and that it wasn't possible. Years and years later, the festival has gradually done pretty much everything I said. Not to blow my own trumpet too much, but I feel vindicated, and happy that the festival organisers have great ambition and foresight to make things even more ethical ❤️
Once a few people start having a go at you on the Internet it becomes very easy for everyone else to pile on. Good for you for daring to think differently.
Stay away from the politicis thread, independent thinking is very much frowned upon there.

I'm super underwhelmed but friends are keen and we'll all be taking the kids in a big gang which will be fun regardless. Have an acceptable headliner each night and keen on Mary Wallopers but not a whole lot else... Plenty I'm not familiar with though so, recommend me some good noise folks??
Mary Wallopers are fun enough, perfect for solas (or whatever it's called now), but ffs not in the tent

Did you have specific questions? I've been once a couple of years ago. It was OK. Not sure what else to say really

Now it has settled in. If I look at the headliners as being Future Islands, Orbital and Lankum then actually I would have a lot of fun. That Friday is good as well as I would see The Vaccines and Waxahatchee, would be worth the money for a day ticket. This will be the first time in a long time that I'll pass on Latitude but that is probably more because we managed to get Glasto tix and our holiday will clash with Latitude now.
Same here, got glastonbury tickets so won't be going to this. If I hadn't got them would still be looking elsewhere though

Any reason why the BBC tent is referred to just as 'second stage'?
