So many clever people on here

Any reason why the BBC tent is referred to just as 'second stage'?
-
Sorry latitude but that's just not good enough. I'd be tempted at about £150 all in but even that would be pushing it

Each to their own I suppose

I think if Glastonbury managed to book Stevie, Sting, Dua Lipa, Pulp, The Killers, Avril Lavigne, Coldplay, wildcard Olivia, Shania Twain, The National, The Prodigy, Keane, The Smile, Snow Patrol.
I think it would be hard not to call that a cracker and up there with the strongest of the year.
Snow patrol?

Don't know what gave you that idea? I did actually say something to a few of them, but funnily enough being some random 5'2" off-duty Oxfam steward doesn't lend a lot of authority and they couldn't have given less of a sh*t 🤷🏻♀️
I wondered this myself. What made him think you encouraged it? I don't think you said anything of the sort did you?

The last Chemical Brothers album is fantastic, they have been in a purple patch for the last 3 albums. They did sell out O2 standing. Was trying to get tickets and you could only get them through twickets. I think critically and live they have been at their peak in the last 10 years. They would make an awesome Pyramid headliner in every way. Visually, vibes, big tunes everything. It's not "progressive" as they've done it before + it won't happen, they will be on the Other stage. You are right though the festival can "do better" (get bigger) headliners...but they aren't past their peak.
Agreed. Some people on here are so hard to please. I don't think they realise that by knocking every suggestion that doesn't suit their exacting needs they are just feeding this never ending cycle of dissatisfaction. The festival is not there solely to entertain you and you alone, at some point you will have to accept that a headliner will not be your cup of tea.

Weird take that. Most of the more ‘out there’ fans these days are for female artists. I do struggle with the adoration for LDR cos I don’t get the connection with the fan reaction and the music. I can’t get through an album without feeling genuinely bored. I just wonder what the super fans are hearing that I’m not.
This is how I feel about phoebe bridgers

It's going to be tough to decide which one to keep, the £200k one in Scotland or the £700k one in the South of France...
I don't blame you for not wanting to buy your own house then

Once I reach an age I can't work.... I'll live in my parents current property (they are late 80's so won't be around when that happens)
I'll still be abroad in the cold winters, can easy survive over here on the pension I'll get too.. hundreds already do so!
Why buy a house when you can just have your parents house? 🙄

Looks like AG7 is coming so I suppose she can't be ruled out entirely if Madge has d@bbed down. But she doesn't quite fit in the frame either.
Trying hard but can't work out what this means

PEARL JAM 😁
UPDATED RUMORS (or hearsay) AS OF 12-6-23 - I added some Leg 2 venues and dates. Dates based mostly of the idea of 2 days travel between cities and 1 day between shows. Exception made for MSG as it may be too expensive to hold for an unused night between 2 shows.
May 4 & 6 - Vancouver -May 10 - Portland -May 13 - Sacramento -May 16 & 18 - Las Vegas - MGM GrandMay 21 & 22 - Los Angeles -May 24 (wknd of) - BottlerockMay 28 & 30 - Seattle - Climate Pledge (?)June 22 - Dublin - Marlay ParkJune 25 - ManchesterJune 28 & 29 -LondonJuly 2 & 3 - BerlinJuly 6 & 8 - BarcelonaJuly - Madrid - Madrid Cood festivalJuly - Lisbon - NOS Alive festivalAugust - Missoula - Grizzly StadiumAugust 26 - Indy - RuoffAugust 29 & 31 - Chicago - Wrigley

September 12 - Baltimore - CFG Bank ArenaSeptember 15 & 17- Boston - FenwayNovember 8 & 10 - AucklandNovember 13 - Gold CoastNovember 16 & 18 - SydneyNovember 21 & 23 - MelbourneThat would be 5 shows in 6 nights wouldn't it? How realistic is that for pearl jam? Would love it to happen though.

I’m sure Sam Smith is available for the pop-orientated, non-male-guitar-act slot

It's a shame because it looks like it could be great, but it also looks like someone started it and then just stopped before anything good was actually delivered
-
I keep trying to use this and can never really get much out of it. Am I missing something?

You'll pay about the same to stand and watch Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer play slower versions of their thirty year old songs around the country this summer.
Oh no I won't

Thankfully no he hasn't ever headlined.
He must have subbed then because I'm sure it was dark. Maybe it just felt dark

Very low on female acts yet again!
A bit early to be saying that

Didn't rag & bone man headline a few years ago? Maybe I'm wrong. I avoided it either way, awful.

You started asking what defines a 'legend' but then decided yourself that she's not a legend.
In my opinion, she's a legend.
Shania Twain is the world's best selling female country music artist with 85 million record sales.
3 x UK No 1 albums, active 30 years.
Taylor Swift has cited her as one of her most prominent musical influences - she was Taylor Swifting before Taylor Swift basically.
But she's not playing the legend slot this year, that'll be Stevie.
Garth Brooks has sold 170 million. Garth for legend 😂

Same here, got glastonbury tickets so won't be going to this. If I hadn't got them would still be looking elsewhere though
