i have discovered a lot of great stuff this year thanks to my discovery of the truly fantastic Rootikal radio show (big up TKZ and Uli).

the thing that probably sticks out most is Nazamba - the first time i heard "the Hills" on Rootikal it was insane, and the album is great...

sort of like a Prince Far I vibe.

so good! The Hills / Dub - OBF mixes were on my spotify top played

Holding out hope but the last few years have been a shit-show and I don't want to be too disappointed tomorrow..

I was talking to someone who works for Festaff last week and they love it, them and their partner have done wristbands for the last few years and said they wouldn't go back to being a 'punter'.

did you get their number? asking for a mate

Anyone got any experience of rib injuries? Don't think it is broken thankfully. I am hopeful that I may be able to still do spin and poss the X-trainer (legs only). Fly to NZ for 3.5 weeks next Thurs and not sure what I will do out there, as my plan was to go jogging. Cycling and swimming maybe?

Sounds painful! I would think swimming or anything low impact would be okay?

  5. first year at glasto but it was certainly difficult at times, the Saturday in particular. but overall, much prefer a sunny festival than a rainy one, had a very rainy Reading fest one year and it was a bit miserable when you've gone through all your dry clothes in the first 36 hours!

the more i think about it the more i'm tempted to go old-skool and take fuck all but a bin bag, a six pack of special brew and see what happens.

now I want to do this...

  7. I can see myself going for plusher camping options as I get older I guess - I'm 31 now and still plan on slumming it with the masses this year and for the foreseeable future. as long as it doesn't slowly grow each year, let them do their thing, init?

Likewise on Instagram and the usual "I'm so glad I didn't get a ticket now" type comments.

If only these people would take a moment to contemplate how insanely dumb that comment is. Really? If you got a ticket you were only going to Glastonbury for 2 hours on the Saturday night and only ever intended to stand at the pyramid stage? Thank the lord you didn't waste all that money!

Cracks me up every time! ?

exactly this, I must admit im not a fan but that hasn't stopped me being so so happy ive got a ticket!

    nice display pic btw- EGG

The line-up poster I did see did feature Eminem between Slipknot and RATM. Though isn't that the famous one where Daphne & Celeste joined the bill late and got bottled off?

When did the whole bottling act stop? does it still happen? I was looking at the lineup poster the year 50 cent was on and I seem to remember 3/4 acts being bottled off the main stage that weekend, kids are brutal.. (full disclosure: I may or may not have been one of those kids)
