Paolo Nutini / Lewis Capaldi
Kasabian / Ian Brown
1975 / Two Door
Paolos day would probably be like the sunday of this year, so defo think capaldi will sub, especially with his hype at the minute. If kasabian are back can see DF booking them as they love to do it for major festivals (not complaining of course ?) and with Ian Brown missing out on festivals this year it seems logical he’ll be around for them next year, think i heard he’s going to bring more material out next year. Can see 1975 doing glasto next year with the hype they’ve been getting at the minute, think TRNSMT will book them as well. Two door have new material coming soon and would be a logical sub to the 1975

Since it’s almost all finished, who do you think will play next year? Let’s get the predictions for 2020 going early.
Gonna put money on Paolo and Kasabian taking out new material and playing. Paolo yet to play and Kasabian will sell tickets. Possibly Royal Blood with a strong sub with their new album on the way

I don't see Example that high. I think he'll be about third on the main stage as a sort of fun pop thing early.
yeah i had no idea where to put him, your probably right though

Final prediction -
Friday: Stormzy, Bugzy Malone, Example, Lily Allen, Juice Wrld, The Amazons, The Snuts
Saturday: Catfish, Gerry, The Vaccines, Dave, DMAs, The Hunna, Kate Nash
Sunday: George Ezra, Snow Patrol (special guests), The Wombats, Sundara Karma, Lewis Capaldi, Tom Walker, Neon Waltz
Have no idea about rap/grime so just tried to throw something together for friday with different acts.

idk if there’s anyone with any actual knowledge of how this is all promoted and everything, but every year a festival seems to have poor headliners, they announce fairly late... e.g: reading last year were really hush until mid feb, and it was a shocking lineup/ this year was much better and was 4/5 months earlier. might be cos they wanna trap people who have bought tickets without knowing headliners etc// if that’s a genuine tactic, might be the case with trnsmt, trying to get people to snap up these early birds etc, without knowing who’s playing, cos once they know, they won’t wanna go
(or am i talking out my arse)
my thoughts exactly. If the lineup is to be as weak as we think then I couldn’t see very much people wanting to go this year.

I heard a few names, but I didn't really ask as I'm not the most interested.
Remembered that one though as Mrs Mr that told me likes them a lot
ahhh right fair enough. from what youve heard do you know if it’s gonna have bigger bands this year or keep the same level of upcoming acts?

2013 was a much better year in every respect.
As for this... Ashcroft as a sub? That'd give me thought, depending on the day he's on.
have a feeling he could be doing one night at electric fields

Ezra/Catifsh/Mumford?
Pretty sure Mez ruled out Mumford

Think they need to upgrade the king tuts to get bigger bands on there, wouldn’t be a problem for some folk if stormzy headlined and they announced wombats on king tuts at the same time (just an example)

@Mezhyp1 please say stormzy isn’t headlining

Right my heads scrambled with all these names flying about, so we’ve got Ezra/Catfish/ 1 other? headlining, with Gerry/snow patrol/ 1 other? subbing?
yeah that seems to be what we’ve got so far. cannot think of who the final headliner can be

I will be gutted if he plays Saturday and the other two are around him. I like the guy, know he will shift tickets and be good for those whom like him but for me, that is not something I want to be paying for.
i’m the same here, just not my cup of tea tbh. never know though he might take in a decent undercard but i can’t think who.

Ezra ruled out for friday, he’s playing festival musilac that day

Most likely fake but thought I'd share
@Mezhyp1 said snow patrol weren’t headlining so doubt it’s real.
2020 Lineup
in Kendal Calling
Posted
Was my first time at Kendal this year and loved every minute of it, cannot wait to find out who’s playing next year ? with it being the 15th anniversary it’s clear its gonna be a big one, what’s everyone’s predictions? not sure who i’m going for, but i think foals will be headlining a night. Possibly chemical brothers for friday/saturday night? If they are really pushing the boat out for the thursday headliner since it’s the 15th anniversary I would love to see Ashcroft headlining thursday night to open the weekend ?
