Well in Belgium you can't turn on the radio without hearing hits like That's What I Want, Montero, Old Town Road, Star Walking etc. at least once a day. He's pretty huge.
Guess it's a bit like Lewis Capaldi, kinda new with about one album out but a bunch of current hits. It secured him a similar spot.

It's already crazy that they managed to book Lil Nas X in a third down main slot. So don't expect that.
Is he that big in Europe?

Foals have a nice Werchter-sized gap after announcing more European dates today, surely they’ll be in the next announcement?
Not sure about it. They wouldn't play Thursday, that would be 3 days in a row (they don't seem to do that earlier on tour). That leaves Friday or Sunday but both days seem pretty packed at the top of the bill. Could they squeeze between lil Nas and qotsa? That would be really great, I'd prefer to miss him

dEUS and Balthazar will play Live /s Live. Triggerfinger will play their 3 last shows with Monsieur Paul in June (AB and 2 NL shows), so no RW i guess. Brutus is not on. I have no news from Hooverphonic but don't see them playing yet.
I'd guess Balthazar are out because Warhaus are in..

Edit: never mind, my mistake

Oh yeah, that would be awesome. I agree on Lolla. Previous years the line up was decent enough but this year it truly sucks; both in Paris and Stockholm.
Anyway, hope we get an announcement soon.
Friday next week, I bet

That could well be it - as a trio, it sounds like Muse, Oscar & The Wolf and Fred Again is enough to bring in various groups en masse in a way the other 3 may not.
Did they go down that badly in 2018?
They seem to be a sellout in most places of this upcoming tour, as evident by my inability to get tix for their UK shows, Dublin, Paris, Rome, Berlin and Amsterdam (plus I think they sold Madrid out but haven't checked).
I had a great time, but it's been 5 years and people still bitched about it when they were announced

Do you expect a relatively sparse crowd at AM, considering their 2018 concert? Or do you reckon the RW crowd is forgiving (/ has short memory)?

We had like 2 months ago an update on ticket sales from some insider from the festileaks forum that people posted here. If I remember correctly saturday was the best selling day with Muse and OATW
No wonder, muse usually sells good at RW and max is basically a Belgian God, it's crazy

It would be very interesting to see ticket sales numbers as ticket sales is the best way to see if a lineup is good or not...
Do they tend to release those numbers officially?

No reason to think so

Guessing/calling it: Robbie Williams to be announced as headliner this Friday.
Makes sense as he has a performance in Antwerp on Thursday and the remaining headliner according to Ken19 was to be announced at the end of January.
Liam G isn't the said headliner?

In all excitement I read "Pup" as "Pulp". Oh well, a few good names and unknown names for me to check out first.
This shit happens to me every year

Panic! at the Disco just announced today that this is it, after their Europe/UK shows, they're done. So maybe some last festivals before the end ..
Foo Fighters will be in the US during July, forget about it. Only August might be possible for Europe.
As for now, they have only festival dates. I don't think it's that far fetched.
But as mentioned, Ken hinted first timers, so maybe not foo.

So tomorrow gonna be a batch of names rather than a headliner?
It was discussed here before that a headliner (specifically, fridays) is expected to be announced among other names.
If the timing of dropping names the same day as lollapalooza Paris isn't a coincidence, I bet it's someone that wasn't announced yet for lolla or rock en sien (because both tend not to share acts, i think?). So not kendrick, strokes or Florence (or Billie, but I couldnt see her headlining RW anyway).
Foo fighters, maybe?

Apparently Interpol will be there (from festileaks). Considering that they are in Dublin on Friday, 30 June, I assume that Sunday will be their day at RW.
Early main stage act?

Did you really check their channels to check if this might be real? 😂
It looked a lot like the poster I remembered, and down the list of bizzare things Elon Musk did, buying a top spot at a festival bill did not seem that outrageous. Amd it wont be the first time id learn from a lineup that someone famous is also flirting with music. So yeah, I went throughout the tremendous agony of... checking a website.

No, clearly genuine, why would you say something like that?
Because of the reasons I just said - Elon is not mentioned in MadCool website or Instagram, and the poster on their website does not include his name. Therefore, this specific image posted here seems like an unofficial edit of the original poster

Hope it is not going to the Strokes . Seen them in Nos alive last year and they were terrible . Even their fans were leaving early
One may assume Julian had a shitty recovery from covid, because I did not hear any complaints until June. After that pretty much every show was criticized

A true blessing in disguise, means I got to drag my mrs. to King Gizzard instead and it was the #2 show of the entire year for me behind Turnstile at RW.
Haha, it was King Gizz instead for me too. The set was a bit less to my taste, but they're so diverse it's impossible. I do believe I would've had much, much more fun at the strokes

Hi folks! I'm new in this, but I silently read the whole topic the last months. Have you considered The Strokes as missing headliner for Friday?
First, they should be first timers (according to Ken19). The band was booked for the 2020 edition, but we all know that didn't happen because of Covid. Also, The Strokes are touring with RHCP in April and May, which band could be more perfect for that spot on Friday before them? According to Rick Rubin they were recording a new album back in 2022. So maybe festival announcement and new album this month?People were quick to deduce they are out because The Voidz are playing Primavera (early June). But Julian tours with the strokes until the end of May and then again in August, so I really don't think it's far fetched.
As Strokes canceled their Primavera show last year in a day's notice, it will be a great compensation for me. Also, may be another factor contributing to the bizzare outcome of RHCPs back to back booking.
