I saw Pilots at the Wembley Arena show and it was one of the best shows I've seen since live music started up again. Missed Guns for Hands out but that's my only gripe.
They were miles better than Post Malone when they co-headlined in 2019 anyway, definitely have them back.

Fall Out Boy/P!ATD/Paramore/TOP - Torn on these kind of bands. They're definitely "headliners", but for Download? I dunno.
The absolute best thing they could do is just turn one day into a "plus-sized Slam Dunk", all the pop punk bands are over a week or two before anyway and with the larger size they can get the bigger bands from that scene who won't drop back down to play it.

I think I made a post somewhere on this forum four or five years ago pointing out pretty much exactly the same thing and all they've really done since is get Tool back who I had assumed at that point had retired.
-
I think they'll finally get Green Day in.
Knotfest / BMTH / MCR / Green Day

I thought he was class on his recent tour.

All four days are SOAD.

Surprised they didn't already announced the dates? You'd presume it'll just be the Saturday and Sunday next year.
Yeah probably just 27-28 of May.

Have Rise Against doing 15 Years of Appeal to Reason and I'm there.

Paramore, Panic, and 1975 all in the same year would be a ticket sold for me.

I still think Download 23 > Arenas January 24 > R&L 24
-
It was definitely 5-6 songs shorter in Cardiff but it was a great setlist all the same. Can't wait for the next tour to do it all again (bar travelling to Milton Keynes)
-
Absolute clash hell, that.
-
Great setlist, loved the whole show.
My absolute favourite part was getting a notification from my credit card app after the gig (internet was awful inside) that my £30 round of 4 drinks didn't go through, so I had them for free.

Are there no depths to which the thread won't sink?

Off they've not bothered releasing stage times for any of the other shows.
Frank Turner tweeted that he's on at 7.45 tonight
Times are on the website for the Eden show tbf.

I think MCR go Download 2023 > Jan/Feb 2024 UK Arenas > R&L 2024 personally. Download can make a go of being their "only UK show of 2023" or whatever, then you immediately get the arena shows in for the people who couldn't do Download before ending this album cycle at R&L.

New FFDP album coming in August.

Is the Hella Mega Tour really going to go on that long? The last dates I can see for it are this June.
-
Don Broco can absolutely sub in a 2 headliner format, get on board already.
-
Still want a Broco > Architects > BMTH run for 2023 tbh.
-
Like Barns Courtney and never seen Placebo so happy with that, wonder who the mystery name for Cardiff is.
-
I really really hope they push both BMTH and Ghost up next year. There's an obvious argument to doing it in different years but they need to make at least 5 new headliners as soon as possible in my opinion.
BMTH / Ghost / an older act they haven't had yet like Pearl Jam or Green Day would make for a class weekend.

Waterparks have shoved this up on their socials, but I can't find anything specifying which bands are on which dates.
EDIT: Seemingly all for the US dates but may give an indication of who's coming with them over here I guess?

Get Swift in doing Iowa (Taylor's Version)

Had to skip the tour last year because of a wedding so I'll be made up if they've got Offspring headlining.
