  1. Can’t believe Warne has gone. Truly shocked and saddened. Probably the best player I’ve seen live. His performances in 05 must be the best performance by an overseas player in an unsuccessful tour. Best spinner to ever play the game. Fantastic sport. Superb cricketing brain - the best captain Australia never had. Gutted.

Also, you sound salty about Newcastle 😂

I’ve never ever* given a flying fuck about Newcastle. Don’t like them, don’t dislike them. You just don’t register with us at all.

*I think the last time I spent any time thinking about you Geordies was the 1992/93 season.

We had more of the ball away from home, not sure the last time that happened, shows an intent to play on the front foot.

Does it? Could mean endless sideways passes between centre halves.

An away point is always a point gain in my opinion. If you can draw away and win at home you're in good shape.

Sounds like more pundit claptrap. You don’t win all your home games do you. Not even most of them. So you need to win away games too.

On the time wasting, seen this one a few times in recent weeks.

Interesting. So this is new since Howe came in?

A bit of game management is definitely helping us out, time wasting isn't really a thing anymore though is it, gets added back on at the end. Does brake up momentum and allows the team to reshape when under pressure though.

Cynical boring bastard that Howe - should have stuck with Bruce the entertainer?

    Newcastle shots - 14  / West Ham 11

    Newcastle Possession - 53%

Aye, Howe made them play anti football versus West Ham 😂

It was a good point, you're 4th and we're fighting to survive, haven't lost in 6 now. Newcastle should have won though which is the point I think you're actually trying to make.

What have possession statistics got to do with the price of fish?

You played some decent attacking football occasionally. Why you didn’t do more of it when the game was there for the taking is anyone’s guess.

You ought it have taken 3 points, it was 2 points dropped not 1 point gained.

Your boys wasted time whenever they could. Very odd. We’re 5th and in the last 3 months have beaten Watford, Palace, and Norwich. Our form is poor.

  5. Newcastle fans showing positivity for a point against West Ham is pretty daft. We were shite and have been shite for weeks - they’re all running on empty and Newcastle time wasted from first minute to last. Given when they did bother to attack they had some success, it’s surprising and shows a serious lack of tactical nous not to try to take advantage. If they’d bothered they could have won at a canter.

Unless we dope our players and/or get some of the injured players back fit we’ll finish no higher than 9th.

I just hope the players are saving themselves for the Europa but I doubt it.

Disagree. Letting him go over there on his own, with no support network, no mates (apart from Five Bellies!), no family, to a club who were mid table in a country where he didnt speak the language was a mistake. He could've went to nearly any club in the world at that stage.

He wasn’t good enough after his injury and wasn’t fit enough after his injury to play for the best clubs week in week out.

Lazio, Rangers, Boro and Everton. No WC in 94 and dropped in 98. Hardly the career path you would've imagined after those tears in Turin in 1990.

    Yup. See above.

What could have been if Fergie had've gotten a hold to him.

Absolutely zero I’d imagine. Other than a larger fall from grace. Gazza’s had help from many people over the years. He’s got sober many times and has always fallen off the wagon again. You can’t help someone before they’ve chosen to help themselves.

Finally found a stadium with less atmosphere than the Emptihad.

Do West Ham have any fans?

We sold our soul years ago - if you weren’t too busy pretending to have a rivalry with Man Utd you may have noticed.

Arteta calls Bruce one of the most important managers England has had in the last 100 years.

What's going on? This is getting very weird now.

Ignoring if I feel Bruce has been poorly treated or is an awful manager, what the fuck has Arteta got to do with it?

Just another in a long line of excellent players who have been given jobs they don’t have the credentials for and go on to fail badly.

I actually think the issue is the premier league has moved on more than we realise even since Rafa was Newcastle manager and maybe taken another step up. Villa have big bucks, Leeds are back in there, Palace, Wolves, Leicester all have money. Its now getting to be a struggle to pick 5 of 6 teams who you wouldn't expect to be there for the next decade.

I think you’ll find the Chinese have tightened the purse strings at Molineux. Look at their net spend in the last year or so and add that to the cancellation of ground expansion plans. Not the endless money pit they liked to portray a couple of seasons back.

They've got to be struggling to get a replacement.

No one at the top table will want the job. Yet. They’ve got to get the right stepping stone manager in which isn’t always as simple a task as many would believe.
