You Me At Six are definitely one of the bands that are always thrown somewhere in the lineup whenever they have new music (playing 3 out of the last 4 fests) so I could see it. Think they'd have to headline the pit though as they've done 3rd main, 4th main and R1 headliner in recent years.

They’d be waaay to big for that. They’ll probably just play 4th down again

    Ouch.

    ADTR will never headline Download.

Who do you reckon will in the next 15+ years then? I reckon a fair amount of yer sub sized DL bands will default into headliner slots very shortly when there are no other options.

Rage playing reading in today’s climate would be absolutely hilarious.

I highly doubt 80% of Readings attendees were alive when Rage released their last album.

Clearly haven’t been in Piccadilly when Killing in the Name comes on

  4. I don’t actually think the guy who said it was this set of headliners is legit but anyway

Stormzy / Sam Fender / Wolf Alice / Loyle Carner / The Hives / While She Sleeps

    All Time Low / Sigrid

    Scarlxrd

Travis Scott / Bring Me The Horizon / Run The Jewels / Jimmy Eat World / Bullet For My Valentine / Little Simz

    The Vaccines / Aitch

    Fever 333

The Strokes / Courteeners / Idles / Giggs / Neck Deep / Fontaines DC

    Migos / Peggy Gou

    Creeper

Metallica are just too big to be that oddball headliner I think. Not sure how much they cost but its probably around the RHCP/AM/Killers mark and in that case surely the better call would be just to pick them. I thought the slipknot stuff was bad but like to think Metallica and these other heavy names are going to play is just a bit crazy. I guess its just denial for the fact its going to be like Liam Gallagher, Courteeners and Travis Scott or something.

Has it changed that much since last time Metallica played?

My big fear about next year is that they clash them with System. That would be brutal. Any other clash on those named so far doesn't really bother me and I'll take anyone v Kiss.

No way they’ll do that, it’d be mental.

Green Day and FOB don't even sound like themselves anymore. That latest Green Day song in particular is embarrassing.

The Green Day song isn't good but I'll take it over the shit they had on Revolution Radio and Uno, Dos, Tres. The Fall Out Boy song is possibly the worst song I've heard all year. The Weezer track absolutely slaps.

Also, Wolf Alice would be a great third down act, or a Sub to a co-head. I can’t see them subbing an outright headliner but would love to be wrong. They SMASHED their truck headline this year

So they could co-headline, sub, or play third down, but not sub an outright headliner?

If those rumours are legit then I can’t see us getting anything new or exciting. Something like this wouldn’t be overly exciting but I reckon it’d sell insanely well:

Five Finger Death Punch / KoRn / Killswitch Engage / Papa Roach / Code Orange / Breaking Benjamin / Trash Boat

The Ghost Inside / While She Sleeps

    New Found Glory

    Testament

AC/DC / Judas Priest / Greta Van Fleet / Black Label Society / Baroness / The Wildhearts / Orange Goblin

    Gojira / Coheed and Cambria

    Refused

    Cannibal Corpse

System Of A Down / Faith No More / Mastodon / Down / Billy Talent / Arch Enemy / Soulfly / Bokassa

    Megadeth / Staind

    The Menzingers

    Dimmu Borgir

Surely The Ghost Inside aren’t anywhere near that big? Like not even big enough to headline the Avalanche?
