The Vaccines were touted as a future headline for a few years too.

Wolf Alice are a good band, don't get me wrong, but they're way off headlining. If this next album doesn't propel them towards that status, I doubt they will ever get there. They'd make a great third down or sub band.

That's my thinking, this album will either make them or break them. After can't help but feel like they were at the height of their power during My Love is Cool. Subbing The 1975 last year would've been the perfect spot for them.

I'd imagine if they did a smaller tour they could have played larger venues - similar to the Architects tour - Leeds Arena (with no top tier) / Nottingham Arena etc, but I may be wrong - still way off co headliner status - more likely sub under one of these 6 headliners

Yeah true, tickets seem to have sold well so maybe there's a case for arenas like Leeds, Notts, Cardiff, Birmingham, Wembley/Ally Pally etc

    I wouldn’t be so sure.

The tour is representative of their size. They’re hardly an arena band, are they? It’s not exactly a tour of ‘intimate’ venues. It’s a big tour of academies. It’s a good sized tour but they clearly aren’t anywhere near being even co-headline size. In future, maybe. But not now.

They’re not as big as QOTSA, otherwise they would be headlining. Saying that they’re as big with the demographic doesn’t translate to being headliner sized. Look at KSI. He isn’t going to he given a headline slot despite being massive with the core audience.

Wolf Alice have been touted as a future headliner since My Love is Cool. They've been playing academies since about 2015 but can't seem to make that step up to arenas for whatever reason. I know they've got the album coming but there's a lot more relevant acts knocking on the door right now that'd be much bigger crowd pleasers. Don't get me wrong they're a great band but I think they'd fall into the 'underwhelming' headline or even sub category.

The K’s have 3 festival announcements in 2 days (starting at 6pm tonight) - one to keep an eye on as I think they’ll be added to the lineup - ties in with end of august festivals announcing this week (APE / Victorious)

Could be any three of Kendal, Y Not, Truck and R&L, although they'll surely be booked for the lot

I've been trying my hardest to get into QOTSA and struggling so far, they just aren't my thing. BMTH as a subsitute would have me bouncing off the ceiling

Same here, as the rock headliner QOTSA seem to be dividing even the rock fans. Still can't work out why BMTH haven't headlined or even co-headlined, it's about time they were given a go

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too. Slam Dunk and Bloodstock have both made announcements with a few US bands missing and UK bands replacing them.

Think a few people have mentioned it but replacing QOTSA with BMTH/Biffy and Post with someone like Dua Lipa would be ace (and probably not rock the boat too much)

Just to attest to what @Paulmcm1998 said, I've sold on Ticketmaster Resale and basically they put it up for sale, it gets sold and then the other original seller never hears about it again after receiving their payment. It's no longer registered to them.

Cheers man, loads of my mates have missed out so I’ll pass the message on!

I'm pretty sure if you're buying it through the Ticketmaster resale option you're essentially getting ownership of the ticket and it'll show in your tickets so it'll go to you and not the seller

Cheers mate, that’s the only thing holding me back at the minute

There’s definitely a chance, I’ve seen quite a few people on Reddit that have managed to eat weekend tickets - just depends how luck you are

Resale or proper listed tickets? Seen a few resale ones come up every now and again

It'll probably be Tom Grennan, Slowthai, The Hunna and a few others - hoping and praying for someone like Architects or someone totally left field like Limp Bizkit

I'd take Architects and Limp Bizkit in a heartbeat. Surely odds on that DMAs will play on the LG day?

this interview lives so rent free in my head, absolutely baffling to say all those things that weren’t true like 1 returning headliner, lineup nothing like 2020 and all headliners that had never before. bad bad PR imo

Same here, pure R&L moments that precede unfortunate events content.

After Melvin said that all of the headliners had never headlined before i was almost certain they were going to give a slot to BMTH. Posty and Disclosure again....... makes sense

As much as I love BMTH I do wonder if they'd draw a big enough crowd to headline outright. Would they settle for co-headline? I was the same, I thought this would be the year
