A bit different the crowd split Fender vs Elbow - Fender vs Aerosmith tho. I really hope if that was the initial idea things changed to place him 3rd down Sunday on the Pyramid.

Yeah that’s what I meant. I was referring to that meaning Elbow would be the ‘missing’ sub 😂

  2. Can’t remember if it was ever confirmed they were Saturday for 2022.

Anyway if they were there and Fender was booked to go up against them it seems like a fairly logical move to just put him in their Pyramid slot when they dropped out. Which puts Elbow…

I’m not 100% sure now… maybe it was the same. Brighton and Bestival look similar but maybe Glasto one was different, or just refurbished!

There’s a company that tours with them, they have a bunch that all look basically the same but with unique quirks: https://www.vanrosmalen.com/spiegeltent/

The one used at Bestival also used to pop up in Nottingham city centre for a week or two every year while I was at Uni.

Saw Let's Eat Grandma tonight with a signing after. Asked about Glasto and they unfortunately said they haven't been booked. Pretty gutted about that one tbh (although not impossible that they're telling fibs!)

Said the exact same to someone I know in Bristol the other night funnily enough

  6. Don't think Park Home will be that bad - it's not THAT much smaller and dairy ground across the road has significantly more room now, so that will encourage people from Gate D to call it quits earlier I reckon

Saw Confidence Man tonight in Manchester. One of the most fun gigs I’ve ever been to. From the moment they came on stage it was nothing but pure energy, fun choreography and bangers that had the crowd shaking their money makers. Got a ticket for this gig in case they ended up in a clash at Glastonbury, but it really is gonna take a hell of an act to sway me the other way because I think a set from them on the Park will be an all timer.

Audiobooks were supporting and they’re fast becoming one of my favourite live acts to see. Saw them twice on a whim and both times they’ve won the crowd over massively and been fantastic. Looking at their tour dates supporting Courtney Barnett around the festival I think they must be a good bet for a Williams Green slot, or possibly even early doors Park.

Audiobooks are on Heavenly so I’ve had them as nailed on for the Park for a while now. See also; Mattiel and Pip Blom etc.

Coming thick and fast now. We'll get at least one, maybe even two, more this week.

One area that feels a waste of an announcement slot is the cinema. We all know what will be there, a few of the latest blockbusters (Dr Strange 2, Batman, Jurassic World 3), some for the kids (Encanto*, whatever Pixar and Dreamworks have got out) and a few cult classics (Pulp Fiction, Ferris Bueller, Ghostbusters).

*I'd be down like a shot for an Encanto singalong.

One year I walked in to a sing-a-long showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show whilst on the comedown and did NOT have a good time
