Yeah I do get its happened (we're Foals or Disclosure billed as exclusives btw?) but I'm sure even he's said it's his only English fest. Anyway, hope he is as I'm intrigued but I just don't think he will be.

No neither of them were exclusive.

Paramore. That's who's touring around Glastonbury 2017. In a place pretty close to Glastonbury just before the Glastonbury weekend. Like Paramore would choose to do the Colston Hall just because they felt like doing playing Colston Hall?

Well they're in Edinburgh the following night so it isn't because they're playing Glastonbury.

B-nob loves the WH Sunday slots. Hold on tight Justice fans, you might not be getting what you want.

Though an early morning slot on the P-mid might suit me fine.

Well he's only done one Sunday WH slot :P

I'm hoping they're in that slot too. Or Future Islands would be cool too.

100% not seeing Foos or Alt-J, I dunno who's on WH but there's rarely stuff on there for me. Warpaint have 2 or 3 really good songs but a lot of their stuff is pretty dull, they're who I'm seeing atm but not excited for it.

    Jacksons on WH.

    Promise?

Had previously been announced for Down the Rabbit Hole on the Friday, and was today announced for Body and Soul festival in Ireland which he has down as Saturday on his website, so there's only Sunday remaining.

Although I'd miss it due to being at Foos, that'd actually be an ace little set up and I hope that's what happens. Seeing them at Primavera so if I have to miss them at Glastonbury then not too much of a sting.

Foos is where I'll be as things stand (until we find out who's headlining JP) but I'm really not excited by the prospect so hoping for RTJ. If it's anybody else who seems likely I guess I'll be at Foos.

  7. What are we all thinking for these boys at the moment? With Bonobo now ruled out of that Saturday night JP headline slot and DJ Shadow surely towards the top of JP that night (confirmed Saturday, not on WH or in Silver Hayes) I'm starting to believe they could be headlining it with him subbing, and one of them guesting with the other (dunno which way round it'd be) for Nobody Speak.

They're also headlining Field Day so may have a headline set ready and therefore want to headline a stage.

They're pretty much my only remaining hope for a decent Saturday headliner on the main stages so I'm probably getting ahead of myself in excitement, also due to how amazing it would be compared to a mid-Other slot (where they'll probably still end up, cba).

Justice are playing the Sunday but not confirmed to be the WH headliner - there just doesn't really seem to be another appropriate slot for then, unless Neil's info of them being on Other was right after all and they sub BBK (which could well work).

Think Bonobo's gonna end up mid/high Other myself - three or four down.

Justice closing set after BBK "headline" please.

Do we know Justice are headlining WH on the Sunday?  Because I still see Bonobo as a WH headliner.

Would ruin my Soulwax -> Justice Glasto finale though :sorry:

Edit: Or just do we know the Sunday WH headliner, I may be behind if there's been any further info regarding Justice.

Edit 2: And whilst he's almost nailed on, the self confirmation was from Vogue - is it enough of a source?

We don't know, but West Holts headliner is a perfect fit for Justice imo. Can only see them headlining a stage and Other and JP are spoken for (BBK and Metronomy), whereas Bonobo played in the middle of the afternoon on the main stage at Coachella, so him being evening Other Stage or something could easily happen (even though at first it didn't feel right to me). He also played WH last time he played and a return to the same stage doesn't seem too likely.

I guess the only chance of it happening is if Justice either sub Other (would tie in with the time given by their bandsintown listing), or they're playing after BBK as a closing set (similar to what we think The xx and Deadmau5 may have done in recent years, which would tie in with Neil's info about them headlining Other).

Think they're just gonna be on WH though with Bonobo evening Other. Second scenario I mentioned above would be perfect for me, mind, as I don't wanna miss either of Justice or BBK.

Bonobo announced for Body & Soul festival in Ireland the same weekend as Glastonbury 23rd - 25th June, apparently closing the main stage on Sunday night.

Edit: Actually he is down for Saturday night on his website, so maybe a Sunday slot for ya after all.

Oh I fucking hope he's Sunday freeing up Saturday JP for RTJ.

I agree! And I love AMSP too, so I can't really lose :)

The National and Radiohead in one year... still feeling very spoilt.

Still not over The National turning up so unexpectedly. The feeling I got when I moved onto the second line of the poster and saw them there was amazing.

The link says there's a dedicated Earache Express stage *and* that, additionally, Napalm Death are on the Truth Stage Thursday at 10pm.

Ah I read that "Find us @ Shangri-La / Truth Stage, South East Corner" wrong, didn't really clock that there was a slash there instead of a comma.

edit: Then again Ho99o9 apparently self-confirmed for Truth Stage and they're on the Earache playlist.

Has it been brought up that the Earache Express stage opens at 9pm each day? Doesnt leave room for a huge line up. Though I could go to 4am like the rest of the SE corner. Or that's what I'm reading from this site at least.

    http://earache.com/misc/glastonbury/index.php

I'm well confused if the Truth Stage is an Earache Stage every day, seeing as the Shangri-La poster has a load of very-not-Earache stuff on the Truth Stage. Maybe there are other acts on it until 9pm when it becomes an Earache takeover?

  14. Those songs are both so fit. At first I was hoping the tour would come before a new album (when there were rumours of those Barrowlands dates) but if the rest of the album is that good I don't care.

  15. Anyone know of any decent deals on a 3-ish man tent? In 2015 I bought this one which I think I actually found through this thread (at the time I think the usual price was £90 and I bought it half price at £45). Was perfect but I unfortunately left my poles by accident last year and struggled to buy replacement poles for it.

    https://m.millets.co.uk/product/green-eurohike-avon-deluxe-tent/162607/

It's only for me but I like to have a bit of space in there.

Edit: Just Googled the tent to see if I could find it anywhere for a decent price and Google threw up the eFests thread where the half price deal was posted. So yeah I did get it for £45 that year.

The notion of a "metal" stage is somewhat dispiriting.

Outside of indie/Mojo sanctioned classic rock the fest does a great job of marginalising genres. Hetfield's onstage plea fell on deaf ears...

    Spose its all baby steps.

True but if it's something being curated by a label it's the easiest way to do it, isn't it? Gotta hope it goes down well and they carry on booking it elsewhere. Deftones on Other, Mastodon on JP. Like you say, baby steps for now.

Yeah Planet Telex and FPT off The Bends for me. Street Spirit will get done too because it always does. Rest of it I'm not really fussed for.

Yep meant in addition to Street Spirit of course. Can't be leaving that out.

I always thought Deafheaven would be good on the JP. Despite the extremity of the music they actually have quite a broad audience. Last album was a belter.

Had a quick look at their tour dates after reading this and they're in Spain on the Saturday, and free Thursday, Friday and Sunday. In the past I never expected them to be booked, but if Glasto are booking the likes of Napalm Death then why not?
