    the one year i got an early bird ticket is the weakest lineup i'm going to attend, we had it too good last year! hoping for some gold in the city gigs

    i guess that makes sense - radiohead had a similar timeslot when they played. i suppose i'm just bummed that kendrick is gonna play mostly stuff off the new lp and it's kind of a dud imho.

    anyone notice that the set times are a bit weird this year. 2 hours for depeche mode but barely over an hour for kendrick? delgados playing 45 minutes is hardly even a support slot set and also playing far too early for a band i'd consider better/more important than similar big scottish bands that are festival darlings (belle and sebastian, mogwai etc.). in fact lots of acts that would be better suited to later in the day/sun set vibes (the beths) or 3am late night slots (wednesday) just feels like a bit of a rip off considering the vastly increased costs for travel/accom this year. not even mentioning that weird ass gap on the saturday night. sure it'll be a great time but it costs so. fucking. much. this year.

    i would have to imagine they've saved some tickets for the non-vip ticket holders because that's some fucking bullshit otherwise would have gone for VIP if it meant priority for the city gigs but that was never made clear at any point
