  1. Am not convinced the queuing/crowd management process for SEC will move into that area in Avalon, only my opinion and have no insider information.

Would be very surprised if that happened.

Nope. The country is the U.K. The nations are England, Scotland, N.Ireland and Wales. If Wales was a country they could compete in the olympics as Wales.

    Complete tosh

Probably less a case of age and more background.

Finsbury Park area has always had a significant Irish population so the venue makes sense in that regard.

    Exactly.

The Fleadh ran successfully for many years in the park.

I've only just noticed you're no longer a moderator!

Anyway... I think early May election.

assume you don't know but if you find out would be great to know!

i'd suggest community but its very late for it now!

I do some work for FR over the summer months, so wouldn't be able to share embargoed info anyway soz.

I've seen a version of this policy at some stadium shows before. So I assumed this was just a regular thing anyway.

It's a standard thing now, no bags larger than A4 size

    That's so poor.

Presumably they've had to book some total crap that'll attract an older, less enthusiastic crowd, so that they can ease in gently with the new entry systems.

    It's basically what's called a soft launch.

    Very sensible

  8. I get what you're saying and yes it would raise extra money.

Problem is that Mike Gate is for accessible needs customers, most guests go up cow lane and enter the arena via Cow Lane Guest entrance.

The more people you're pushing into Mike Gate, the less accessible it becomes and also a potential security risk opening the gate more.

Can't really put another lane for the Lounge as there is a burn between green and the production road.

Also wouldn't work on the other side of the burn as you are also eating into the Camping Plus space, and that area floods bad on a wet year as it is.

But I get what you're saying about the walk from town into the arena.

My group would be more than happy to pay extra for expedited off site entry into the arena that didn't involve a 20 mins plus walk to the arena after getting to Richfield Avenue.

Basically guest /accessible entry down O'Mally alley without the actual guest facilities. 25gbp/ day or 60gbp/ weekend.

Easy 60k extra a day for what would likely just be an extra couple of security people, checking access to the FR/ 1 Xtra back stages....

But you would still need to walk round to the arena entrance?
As you can't walk down the internal production road

Also has anyone questioned the size, and potentially position, of the new tent? Can't see those size of acts bring safe in Magical Sounds.

Let the experts deal with infrastructure , logistics, crowd management, crowd density and flows and you just worry about the set times 😉

OK, not seen anyone comment on this yet.......................

CODA has just 12 acts listed in the fiull line up.
So that must mean it has li mited opening times or is going to be used as something else in the day with dance stuff starting at 10pm onwards.

That or they are all playing for several hours each

You stole that from me on Facebook 😉

Since when does Bearded do 'mainstream'?

Bearded is, and always has been more or less the opposite of that and has always had loads of music like has just been announced.

I am sure though that many will moan and stick their tickets up for sale whilst tripping over the toys they threw out their prams

    This! ^^
