    No

    No

    NO

Just one man's point of view, Neil. As valid as your or mine, I would suggest.

Nope. Not all opinions are the same. Some are good opinions and some aren't.

You might as well say that voting for brexit has the same outcome as voting for leave, or that voting for indy has the same outcome as voting against indy

The UK only gets a positive benefit from brexit if there's a positive benefit from that choice. Exactly the same applies with indy.

And I remember someone who used to believe in indy because he thought it would help Scotland's poorest, but who today says he doesn't give a shit about helping them and votes to ensure there's no extra money to help them with.

Indy will be much much worse for Scotland's poor than even the do-fuck-all-for-them that that once-caring bloke now supports.

Could D. Marley sub WH?  Welcome to Jamrock being a huge hit aside, is he that much of a bigger deal than, say, Caribou or FKA Twigs or whoever.

My own take on it - and I might be wrong - is that WH probably doesn't have the budget to have Damian as anything other than headliner.

    Here's a nice wee story

does it say what currency you'll use, and how it will be financed and supported?

does it say how the £15Bn deficit will be managed?

Does it say what borders they'll be with rUK?

Just wondering if it actually addresses the bigger issues, or if it's just fluffy guff that pretends there's no massive problems that will make an iScotland turn out VERY differently to all the hopes.

    How so?

There's only been one reggae act in recent years on West Holts, so I'm not really too hopeful that there'll be 2. :(

Mind you, there's been a reggae act on the Pyramid in recent years too, so it's not impossible, I guess, that Damian might be there instead.

My hopes are further dashed cos I think I'm on the tail of getting one of the WH headliners too, which takes away one of the spots Damian might have been in.

The Fatback Band have got a few UK shows in the next few months, saw them at Bestival last year and they were one of the best acts I saw all weekend. Would fit a West Holts slot pretty nicely I'd say.

    have done it before.

10CC looking like everyone's dad on The One Show...

I reckon they're some marketing intern's project at the moment, to make them the 'hit' old band of the moment. I've noticed a lot of stuff bigging them up in the last 3 months or so.

And while I thought there was nothing special to them on TV last night, they're actually a fantastic live band, and (if you're my age) with a big string of great familiar hits too.

Jarre has said he's in talks for Glastonbury 2018??

This time last year he said he was in talks for last year. A previous year he said he was in talks and nothing happened.

This time he says he's in talks "for next year", which only proves that he's full of shit.

errrm, I'm really not sure about that... and perhaps that's the problem. There's very little I've heard of, I'm just talking about the strength of the main acts each day.

in the acts announced today, there's Let's Eat Grandma and Flamingods and perhaps more (I forget without looking back) of reasonably popular newer acts, a bit more in the 'today' groove than I was thinking they'd had in recent years.

If they mean little or nothing to you, the problem is as much your own tastes & knowledge as it might be what a fest is presenting.

The £140 weekend ticket or £47, £61, £51 for fri, sat , sun respectively is outrageous, it really is.

Like all festivals, it's horses for courses. If you like the bands it's worth it, and if you don't it's not.

There will always be a loyal crowd bringing in the deckchairs each day, but I can't see how it'll attract newbies, in this very competitive market. Lakefest, for one, appearing nearby and providing alot more for alot less in a family friendly environment is sure to make another dent in ticket sales.

I can't disagree that the acts it has will make it hardish to attract newbies, but that's the same for all festivals which trade mostly from older 'name' acts. You either want to see them - probably again - or you don't.

I do disagree about Lakefest tho, cos if either one was going to get my money on what's announced so far and what I know of both fests, it would be Wychwood. From what i've seen of Lakefest line-ups previously too (tho some might have passed me by) the Wychwood line-ups are far stronger with 'names'.

And of course, the 'more' is very subjective too. There's few festivals that put on as much for kids as Wychwood, for example, and for plenty of adults in half-term week something to occupy getting-bored kids is attractive.

Is this you trying to make me feel like I'd be missing out?

I'm a sucker for a big flag on stage

No, it's me attempting to be funny. I've been using that flagwaver 'joke' since it happened. :D

Not sure if it's been mentioned (I skipped the Nazi chat of the past couple of pages), but Pond are touring up to the the Wednesday, which is a Bristol gig. On a purely selfish level I'm gutted I can't see them in their own right, so I'm all in for a Glasto slot.

it's been mentioned - cos I spotted it mentioned and added them as a rumour for G. :)

Caught a bit of Damian Marley at Bestival last year, was good but not quite my thing. Would be a solid WH headliner though, and would at least free me up to be elsewhere. My potential headliner clashes are worrying me, so someone like DM that I can appreciate as a good booking but dont feel like i'd be missing out is nice.

last time Damian headlined West Holts, he had Julian and Stephen with him on stage.

There was also a flag-waver, who i think is Flagwaver Marley, the black sheep of the family without musical talent. :P

They already did that when they sold Kante.

Unless they'd chained him up without his mobile phone there was fuck all they could do about that, sadly. That's how it goes when a player wants out, as even your own team knows.

Tho i've been wondering ever since if the likes of Mararez and Vardy now feel like mugs for staying (tho anyone who bought Vardy would prolly also feel like a mug too).

Last week I asked if getting through in the FA Cup was the best thing for Leicester. Most on here said yes, but would anyone like to reconsider? If I were Ranieri I think I'd prefer the time on the training pitch to try and prepare for the battle they're going to face rather than putting out another reserve side to play a team they will either get embarrassed by, or should be beating anyway.

Leicester are yet to score a league goal this year, and have 1 point out of a possible 18. What makes it worse is the teams around them seem to be improving. It sounds like they won't sack the manager, but something needs to change if they are going to stay in the league.

Fixtures to come for the next month or so are Millwall (a), Sevilla (a), L'pool (h), Hull (h), Arsenal (a), Sevilla (h), W Ham (a). Even if they get something out of the Hull game, it still looks a tough run.

I don't think anyone in Leicester cares too much about any of it.

Ranieri won them the title, when no one believed it was possible. He can get them relegated the season afterwards and he'll still be a total hero who'd be bought endless drinks in any bar in Leicester.

On form he deserves the sack, but I really REALLY hope they don't do it, at least not before the end of the season. Keeping him because they love him because of what he achieved for them would be the finest expression of love in footie, and I'd hate it if they did ruthless on him.
