This event, now in it's fourth year, is held in Wellington Country Park, in The Waterloo Meadow, an 80-acre site surrounded by oak trees, which it is hoped, will be gradually illuminated as the sun goes down. This year features cover bands performing the music of Queen, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Santana and T.Rex. For full details, click here.
Gates open at 5pm when people can bring and enjoy their own picnic. There will also be plenty of eating and drinking facilities, together with a hospitality marquee for sponsors and corporate guests, and a funfair.The festival will finish with a fireworks finale.
The car park can accommodate 2000+ cars, with the capacity to increase if necessary. There is also a caravan park for those guests who wish to make a weekend of it. Family day or weekend tickets are also available.
