Marvellous In The Park (Wellington Country Park) 2003

Billed as a 'family live music weekend', Wellington Country Park will be hosting this event, which will be located in The Waterloo Meadow, an 80-acre site surrounded by oak trees, which it is hoped, will be gradually illuminated as the sun goes down.

Friday, 18th July promises swing and jazz and rhythm-and-blues style music from the Big Chris Barber Band and the Pasadena Roof Orchestra.

Saturday, 19th July, has a different musical theme with The Bootleg Beatles headlining and Pete & Hugh as support. There will also be a fireworks finale.

The gates will open at 5pm when people can bring and enjoy their own picnic. There will also be plenty of premium eating and drinking facilities, together with a hospitality marquee for sponsors and corporate guests at a fully inclusive price (includes pre-dinner drinks, 3 course dinner, coffee, complementary bar for the duration, concert ticket and car parking).

The car park can accommodate 2000+ cars, with capacity to increase this if necessary. There is also a caravan park for those guests who wish to make a weekend of it.
