Bures Music Festival 2014


The 17th community-led summer music event, the Bures Music Festival, takes place in the picturesque village of Bures on the Essex & Suffolk Borders from Wednesday 9th until Sunday 13th July 2014. Over five days, the festival sees artists from all genres, from rock to blues, pop to choral, and jazz to ska, with all proceeds going to local charities.

Line-up

Wednesday:
Choral Evening: Funky Voices in St. Mary's Church.

Thursday:
Jazznights Presents: Alan Barnes, Roger Beaujolais, Larraine Odell with the Jazznights Trio. Hosted by Roger Odell of Jazznights and Shakatak.

Friday:
Blues Night: The Pretty Things, Henry Padovani, LaVendore Rogue, X-Factor France judge and Ex-The Police guitarist supports the legendary headliners.

Saturday:
Planet Abba, Fleetwood Bac, Back to the 70s for a Tribute Night. 6.30pm-11pm.
B-Fest: Showcase for local young musicians in the marquee. Winners play on Sunday. 11.30am-4pm.

Sunday:
The best local bands with stalls and rides for kids with Jupiter Ray, The Humdingers, Frett, The Jim Jims, Dumbfoundus, Face Furniture, and the winner Of B-Fest. 11.30am-7.30pm

An all encompassing weekend ticket is priced at £35. Day tickets: Wednesday £5, Thursday £10, Friday £15 (£17 on the door), Saturday B-Fest £5 (under 16s if accompanied by adult £1), Saturday tribute night £15 (£17 on the door), Sunday £10 (£12 on the door, under 16s £5, under 10s free).

Camping

Free camping is available if booked in advance.

The Bures Music Festival is a not-for-profit event, with all proceeds going to local charities.
