The first acts including headliners have been revealed for the 3rd Electric Fields, which will take place over the three days - now with added Thursday - from Thursday 30th August until Saturday 1st September 2018, at Drumlanrig Castle, Thornhill, Dumfries and Galloway, in Scotland.

Top of the bill are headliners Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds who will perform one of the more-intimate festival shows of Noel's career on the Friday, Leftfield who will close the festival on the Saturday, and James on the Thursday (Thursday add-on ticket required).

There's also Mercury Prize winners Young Fathers, Teenage Fanclub, Idlewild, Ezra Furman, Ghostpoet, The Coral, Baxter Dury, Ibibio Sound Machine, Shame, IDLES, Lady Leshurr, Sunflower Bean, Stanley Odd, Out Lines, Mastersystem, Black Honey, Moxie, Solareye, Charlie Bones, Nightwave, and Flamingods.

Plus there's Michael Pedersen, Kevin Williamson, Soccer Mommy, Loki, Salena Godden, Victoria McNulty, Athens of the North, Anu, The Vegan Leather, Lee Clark, The Dunts, Avalanche Party, Crystal, St.Martiins, Chuchoter, Rascalton, Shambolics, Lucia, Pleasure Pool, Super Inuit, Wuh Oh, Vida, Heavy Rapids, Church Of Good Times, Disko Shiva, Teesh, Soul Jam, Peach, Miss World, Wasabi Disco, Nick's Drum Workshop, Thank You For The Music, Sneaky Pete's DJs, and with the spoken word on their own dedicated stage are Scottish wordsmiths Neu Reekie.

For the kids 'Our Kids Electric' returns bigger with new entertainments and workshops, plus there's the normal festival fayre of food and bars.

Nick Roberts, Festival Co-Founder, said: "This is going to be so fun, I honestly can’t wait. We’ve been working really hard over the past few years, and we’re just chuffed to be able to be putting on what’s set to be another great weekend of music, with our always excellent audience, in such a beautiful setting!"

Tickets are on sale, priced at £95 for Friday and Saturday, with the Thursday an extra £26.
