I saw this posted on Facebook, hopefully it will be helpful to some of you! If anyone wants to join the group, here is a link - https://www.facebook.com/groups/254760757902732/?ref=share As we approach gate opening day, it's worth reminding everyone about the free Property Lockups and what we do and don't do. WE DO... Open on Wednesday and run 24 hours a day until 12noon on Monday. Look after any property, from the smallest car key through to trollies, bikes, canoes and lightsabres. Hand out the Challenge 21 wristbands for young looking 18's and over... after checking your ID. Give out free toilet rolls. Offer free advice - anything goes - and a site map to peruse when you are lost or thinking about that walk to the next performance or bar. In the odd quiet time (?) provide an ear for those incredible "you'll never guess what happened..." stories. WE DON'T... Deal with lost property, sorry. Give this to the campsite stewards. Look after your annoying or indisposed loved ones or friends. Even if they are 'lovely really'. Babysit. Extra cuteness won't sway us. Give out sun cream. Get that from the Info points. Give out soap. No idea if the Info points do this, but there are plenty of shops onsite. Have extra site maps, soz. Again, check out the Info points. Any other questions can be answered on this page, have a brilliant festival.

What have you lost at Glastonbury Festival? Were you ever reunited with your lost item? Back in 2013 I managed to lose my hearing aid on the Wednesday, possibly on entering the festival as I had to remove my sunglasses when my ticket was checked. It was mid afternoon before I realised so we trekked up to Lost Property and made a report. Waited a few weeks before going to the Audiology Clinic who kindly put in motion a free replacement. The replacement was fitted in early September, the very next day I received a small package from Glastonbury Festival and yes it was my lost hearing aid! All it needed was a new battery. I now have several spares which are always in my possession. I also wear DeafMetal hearing aid retainers these days which are a fantastic accessory, these also work with Apple air pods - https://www.deafmetal.store/ PS - Do get your hearing checked, I lost mine in 2005 due to Ménière's disease, not as I suspected a lifetime of going to gigs and festivals! I now wear Bluetooth enabled hearing aids that I can stream music and phone calls to, they are much better than the NHS ones I started my hearing loss journey with. Make a report via Email - [email protected] And remember to use the lock ups!
