  1. Where I normally camp looked to be in danger of being taken over by boutique camping last year, hence why I'm doing my research now.. This years site map https://endoftheroadfestival.com/information/accessibility/ Under 'boutique camping' it appears to suggest they have got rid of the red gate used last year, looks like all the boutique campers have to arrive with the masses. https://endoftheroadfestival.com/information/camping
  2. So for a rare time since 2009 I ended up missing last year at the last minute due to **vid reasons. My question is how did the change in camping areas work out last year as I see they introduced a red gate for the boutique campers and shifted things about? According to this years map they have gone back to how things were in the few previous years, any idea why that is? My worry for the changes made in 2021 was that the general camping areas were possibly reduced in size, plus they were moved to the more poorer rocky sloped field which adjoins family camping.
  3. Volunteering email update just sent out by Wicked Stewarding. It doesn't include shift patterns so don't get too excited. They are still after volunteers, I suppose having an additional car park and wristband exchange doesn't help the possible shortfall in volunteers.
  4. Julianna Barwick UK dates in early September now finally postponed until February 2022. I can't see why the cancellation wasn't announced ages given it was always unlikely she would be playing given her cancellation at EOTR?
  5. Yep this new layout has annoyed me, my usual spot which I've camped at for probably at least the last 5 years is in serious danger of falling into boutique territory. Not that it isn't my issue, but are boutique folk going to be allowed into the red car park to unpack before walking over to wristband exchange? I'd be surprised if they are allowed to do that as technically they'll be in the festival grounds without a wristband. If not, they will have to enter one of the main car parks, before departing to red car park?! Seems a bit of a faff.
  6. If they've taken your money then you'll have a place (you would have received a confirmation email ages ago). But yes, they are dragging their heels somewhat.
  7. Sounds a bit similar to Timber festival that I went to a few weeks back. Snapped Ankles who were the main headliner pulled out due to covid. Disappointingly hardly anyone attending knew they had pulled out until very last minute, Snapped Ankles made no reference to not playing on any of their own social media from what I saw, while the festival organisers only announced it via an Instagram live story. £3.50 a pint at Timber so not all was lost!
  8. I agree re leaving it until the last minute, but it doesn't add up with Barwick, she was definitely on the original line up, pulled from the revised line up, yet her shows either side of eotr are still scheduled to take place?! Why pull out of eotr in that case?!
  9. It is complete speculation on my part. They are very much an EOTR type booking, I can't understand how they could fund a trip to the EU for a small one off show unless they had a festival booking to fund it? Speaking of discrepancies in bookings, I previously mentioned that Skullcrusher had cancelled the Birmingham gig due to the pandemic and thus expecting rest of the tour to be cancelled, yet I haven't had notification that the London date has been cancelled. I'm wondering then if Skullcrusher are still playing at EOTR and the Birmingham date was cancelled due to other reasons (poor ticket sales?). Finally, Julianna Barwick was previously on eotr line up then culled with other transatlantic artists who couldn't make it. However her EU tour which include dates either side of EOTR weekend is still listed as going ahead?
  10. I'm going to speculate that 'Packs' might be added. For those who don't know they are from Canada and have recently announced a one off London date on 14th September (Sebright Arms). Seems a long and expensive way to travel for a one off gig at a tiny venue.
