  1. I'm not sure if it was a lucky / educated guess, but Thus Love are indeed playing on the Sunday. (Source their Instagram).
  2. Can't get the day split function to work on the Moseley website. Lisa O'Neill, CMAT, Mdou Moctar playing both festivals.
  3. Moseley Folk line up just announced if you are looking for potential crossovers. https://moseleyfolk.co.uk/
  4. B0ll0cks, sorry you are right, when I searched 2023 poster, 2021 came up. Sorry on a train...
  5. That isnt the 2023 poster, it comes up if you search eotr 2024.
  6. Yep, I think someone at BoTW messed up. I contacted the Barbican and they confirmed the shows are booked with tickets likely to go on sale in the next couple of weeks. 2+2 = 5, but I think this isn't to take the gloss of an EOTR announcement next week.
  7. Didn't EOTR used to send an email asking for sensible suggestions of who to play the festival? I don't recall seeing one this year?
  8. Big Thief supporting. Whether that rules them in or out of EOTR, who knows!
  9. Not a Woods or Garden stage headliner, but I would love to see W.H. Lung back. Saw them again last week at a small benefit gig in Salford. They really are my favourite UK live act at the moment. 3rd LP out next year, I could see them potentially headlining the Big Top.
  10. Adrianne has a solo LP coming out in the New Year. She is also playing a festival in March in the US so i think we can expect more shows in the first 6 months of 2024 to promote this.. Just to confirm the OP, Big Thief have been building a studio with a view to writing/recording a new LP (completely new material, none of which has been played live before) this summer. I took the "year off" quote (which Buck has recently reiterated) to mean the whole of 2024, but I suppose if the next LP is finished by August they could fit in a few festival dates.
  11. EOTR have confirmed on Instagram that the Tipi has been renamed as The Folly.
  12. My kids turn 13 and 11 this year, both have been nearly every year since they were babies. In fact my daughter was 3 months old when we 1st took her. For late night gigs we just used to park the two prams at the back of the Garden Stage as if you were heading to the toilets, hedge worked as a sound barrier. Anyhow, I digress. Both mine love going, they've moved past the workshop activity area, preferring instead to spend time at table tennis, skittles area. I find with kids they don't actually need a lot of arranged activity, they can make friends easily enough and make their own entertainment. They know the site by the back of their hands (my eldest has habit of sneaking backstage to use the posh toilets😀). Although bad things can and do happen, I feel comfortable leaving them to their own devices for periods of time. Mornings I tend to have a kick around with a football my eldest brings on the field of the Woods stage whilst the headliners are sound checking, as there is literally no one there.
  13. Kara Jackson, 3rd September (source, her Instagram page).
  14. Fair point. Although, if she had said, "I will see you in the woods", I would think, Woods stage, not that she is talking about the festival as a whole.
  15. Her Instagram post from 31/1/23 said "Heading back to Dorset for @endoftheroadthis summer. I'll see you in the gardens. ❤️"
  16. Any idea when Green Man announce their line up (usually before eotr? non?). That should help rule out who isn't playing, certainly in terms of the headliners..
  17. Wilco confirmed for the Sunday at Moseley if anyone wants to start a day split thread, for an act that hasn't even been confirmed yet 🤣.
  18. I'd be surprised if Wilco don't play EOTR, happy to be proved wrong of course. Awaiting Manchester Psych Fest news as that is the other event that crosses over with EOTR acts. Their early bird ticket offer ended today (I think) so hopefully not too long before line up news is announced.
  19. Moseley Folk Festival (which most of you know is the same weekend as EOTR and as such share some of the same acts), their line up officially announced tomorrow evening however spoiler alert, intial acts are Wilco, Squeeze, The Proclaimers, Blindboy, Gwenno, Chloe Foy, Angelina Morrison, Elanor Moss, Crewdson Cevanne.
  20. First EOTR was in 2009, missed 2 since then (2010 was at a wedding, 2021 fatigued). Early birds bought for next year. Good Didn't see as much music as normally would as previously I left my better half to manage the kids whilst I did my selfish bit running from stage to stage, but I've decided while my kids are still happy to hangout with me I will make use of that (I am sure that will change in the next couple of years). Anyhow, I enjoyed DEHD, The Magnetic Fields x 2, Grace Cummings, Lucy Dacus x 2 (first time seeing her with a band), Skullcrusher.. The Piano Stage, probably enjoy this more than the other stages (folk not talking), however sets appear shorter and it is certainly a lot busier than it used to be. Low dick head quota. Good folk camped by us, generally quiet at night and in the mornings. Weather. Wasn't even cold at night which we know it can be. Annual meet up with Fat Buddha. Bad Toilets, we were within the first 20 people into the festival on the Thursday morning, my Mrs headed straight for the toilets in the main camping area and said they were disgusting? How is that possible? Overall I found the toilets bearable but not good enough compared to previous years (lack of toilet paper and hand gel). Only once saw them emptied (not cleaned) by 2 blokes when previously it seemed like there was an army of cleaners who would hose them down as well as emptying them. More urinals needed at the back of the Woods stage. The End of the Road sign in the Garden field, takes up seating / standing by the hedge, plus is unnecessary. I've already bought a ticket, I know where I am, I don't need a huge pointless sign telling me where I am. Smoking. Yes it is outdoors but you are still in the immediate vicinity of others, it really isn't hard to either to go an hour without a cigarette, or walk 20 metres away from everyone where it is quiet (e.g front left or right of the Woods stage), it is then dead easy to get back into the crowd. Music from Two Tribes bar spilling into Garden Stage. Observation Less stewards, remember when they use to have those huge fire lookout stands in the main camping field? Anyhow didn't impact me either way, less stewards also meant my eldest nipper snuck backstage to use the posh toilets set assigned for the artists, "proper toilet seats and 2 different types of soap, Dad". Less food options, everything I ate was great, just more queues. Pixies, I only caught the end of their set due to being at the Garden Stage for The Magnetic Fields, however I have to say the crowd was the biggest I have ever seen at the Woods stage. Someone mentioned about soft drinks prices at the food stalls (2-3 quid), they were £1.50 in the festival shop.
  21. Some of the following are a wish list, some are who I think could play, some are who I think won't play. Phoebe Bridgers, no chance (unless Lucy Dacus persuades her given how much Lucy loves EOTR). PB last tour sold out in minutes and fans queued up all day to get into the venue. I could see her playing Lattiude or Glastonbury. First Aid Kit, they are more of a Larmer Tree festival act rather than EOTR IMO, great vocally live, but I'm not a fan of their own material. Mitski, possible but again along with Phoebe Bridgers is possibly too big to play, her last tour sold out in minutes. Portishead, in theory too big to play, however given how much Geoff Barrow loves the festival it is a possibility. Big Thief, solid chance of playing although I would prefer as a Garden Stage headliner. Angel Olsen previously booked to play as headliner pre covid, solid chance to headline. Feist, new LP due next year, previously headliner, good chance of playing. Father John Misty, previous headliner, flips between eotr and Green Man.. Julia Jacklin- new LP out Bill Callahan - touring, new LP out. Dry Cleaning - new LP out. Nation of Language. Down the bill. Haley Heynderickx, previously played eotr, 2nd LP I think is finally coming out next year? Tomberlin, from horses mouth "deffo playing UK festivals in 2023, couldn't in 2022 because of backlog of acts due to covid". Plains (aka Jess Williamson and Katie Crutchfield new act), hits the c&w spot that Fat Buddha wanted. Packs. Snailmail. Skirts. Yet to play in the UK. Cloth, 2nd LP out next year (now on Mogwai label so expect more exposure). Horsegirl, I loved their debut LP, only played a handful of tiny UK dates a few months back, although when I asked them they had no idea when they would be in the UK again.. Wild card act. Neutral Milk Hotel - don't think it will happen, I've not heard anything about them playing since their last tour, what 7 years ago? Bonnie Prince Billy. - don't think it will happen. Kings of Convenience - don't really play festivals, certainly not in the UK.
  22. Completely unconfirmed... but I would expect Uwade to play early on the Friday on the Talking Heads stage, before then playing the opening song for Fleet Foxes on the Friday night.
