  1. I don't think Pulps day is that bad, yeah there's Neil Horan, but there's always going to be a chart friendly name, I can imagine your average Pulp fan will atleast be indifferent or cool with Heaton/Abbott and Ezra. Plus, there will be still a few names to add that day. This initial lineup is as close to a half decent old TITP main stage announcement they've had in a while, IMO
  2. Friday is perfect for parents to take the kids...
  3. Check Euro Hostel, pretty close to Glasgow Green and can get private rooms if need be
  4. Seems to be a bit of a mix on the article dates, article says he is playing the Friday (7th) his own poster says the Saturday (8th).
  5. Ezra Subbing Fender then? Pulp Friday and The 1975 Sunday
  6. "Shortly after releasing their fifth album, The 1975 have been confirmed as the group to close the curtain on Trnsmt next year." I could see Ezra Subbing tbh
  7. I retract that post, I didn't see the rest of the announcement Royal Blood can play Fri/Sunday still
  8. Going by article... Pulp, George Ezra, Sam Fender, The 1975, Kasabian, Neil Horan, Inhaler, The Kooks, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, Royal Blood, Becky Hill, Maisie Peters, Ashnikko, Brooke Combe and Jamie Webster that'll definitely sell
  9. If it's correct its their strongest first announcement in years imo
  10. Didn't see the rest of the lineup haha, that's actually pretty strong tbh
  11. Pretty mid, if that's the top line, it'll sell though
  12. This is probably a very outside shout, and I don't think they have been considered/probably thought off, but QOTSA? Touring European festivals early summer, could probably command a headline spot, might not be trnsmts target market I know unless they have a more 'Rocky' day
  13. Could anyone see Yeah Yeah Yeahs be considered a headliner for this?, slight hunch they'll be there. Also think Young Fathers will be there.
  14. Random pre-announcement guess Headliners The 1975, Sam Fender / Kasabian / Pulp (can't pick 2 from those 3... I wouldn't be surprised if Kasabian and Pulp 'co-headline' tbh) Subs / 'Special Guests' KSI, Blossoms, Jamie T, Royal Blood (though with RB I think they might not be there now) Pick of Other Acts Ellie Goulding, The View, Emeli Sande, Lil Simz, Joesef, The Wombats, Marcus Mumford, The Hunna, Tom Odell
  15. Wouldn't be surprised if he did one of the Big Top shows if they returned tbh
  16. Pixies a shout? No Scottish dates on their UK/Euro tour next year
  17. I'll go for the first announcement being around the week commencing 7th November, follows the weekend Biffy and Kasabian play the Hydro
  18. Would agree that they need stronger headliners/a more beefed out lineup for next year, liked a good section of the line up but couldn't merit the price, do hope they learn from things this year as the idea behind it/the presentation of it all looked decent from pics. Can't help but feel they would be better moving it to a week later, and could potentially grab some of Electric Picnics (Ireland) acts, would also argue that with the fringe, is there really room for an 'alternative' festival at the same time? Looking at gigs over the fringe, if they had the likes of Micheal Kiwanuka, Arab Strap, Kae Tempest, along with some others that all played in Edinburgh, that would have strengthened it no end, imo. Will be interesting how they move forward regardless.
  19. Could be argued The Strokes weren't either... If not Trnsmt I can see them doing one of the Edinburgh Big Top shows
  20. Have Biffy Clyro been ruled out? I wouldn't be surprised if them and Kasabian were announced as two of the headliners right after their Hydro gigs coming up to try push some Christmas sales... Otherwise I'll go with something like... Headliners The 1975 - Pulp or The Killers (or Biffy Clyro) - Kasabian Sub-headliners The Script - Royal Blood - Jamie T (based on nothing but his big London Show)
