  1. RATS One of Bob's daughters was named Peaches.
  2. PRUNE I'm cheating a bit but prune is a colour or hue. This was the first band I saw live at the Bath Pavillion in 1967. At the time they really seemed edgy but looking at them now they just look like a bunch of nice clean cut lads
  3. CRY The first time I saw The Pretty Things was in 1967. They were supporting the Rolling Stones and they blew the Stones off the stage.
  4. CALLING (I know I've cheated with the spelling of here but an excuse to post a clip from a much under-rated band. Despite their Glam Rock image Slade were a great stomping blues band live.
  5. ME Chicago ended up as soft rock but I remember when they had a harder edge as CTA Chicago Transit Authority.
  6. LEAVE (It becomes apparent when the song gets going)
  7. MEET Sandy Denny one of the greatest voices in British music.
  8. JEAN (As in jeans are made out of material). Minor claim to fame my late next door neighbour and his son did van conversions and they pimped up Madonna's tour bus.
  9. CRAZY One of the greatest musical days of all time and the band that stole the show.
  10. WORLD Fascinating history. Paul McCartney song that he gave to his then girlfriend's brother.
  11. RAINBOW In case the link isn't obvious, Toto the dog was in the Wizard of Oz
  12. TAINTED I saw Mark Almond a couple of years ago, post Soft Cell and was surprised at what a very good voice he has.
  13. OPERATOR The great thing about this game is you introducing to music completely outside my normal musical experiences. I'd never heard of Joe Smooth. It's pleasant but wouldn't make my desert island.
  14. RISING I'm sure I will have posted this before my favourite version of this song. Great audience sing along.
  15. RUN America had The Ventures - we had The Shadows.
  16. DOG Billy spells it out. And no, sadly, we didn't get Green Man tickets. A key was getting a caravan/motorhome ticket but they'd all gone so we decided to knock it on the head. I've decided to give Lakefest a go as an alternative.
  17. PEACEMAKER Someone I did get to see a couple of times. Great, under-rated, songwriter.
  18. Failed. By the time my mate got through all camper and caravan tickets had gone. So have knocked it on the head and opted for Lakefest instead.
