This is our first time in West, always stayed in CV East before. On the Tuesday after setting up we normally go for a walk off site. Does anyone know once you are in West, can you get in and out by foot? A pint in the Apple Tree Inn would be nice. ?

We are in East again, how do you get to the Apple tree inn, do you walk around the fence?

I imagine most will be in by wednesday evening... I would still want to get there weds pm rather than thurs am. If you are late wednesday evening and you have a small van i would just tell the security that your mate has a space for you in E20, rather than them put you at the back of E25..

Get parked and get down that hill..!

Thanks guys, Wednesday night it is then :)

  3. Hi All

We have always managed to arrive Tuesday afternoon but this year due to other commitments I don't have a lot of annual leave left. We may therefore have to arrive late Wednesday around 10pm or leave it until the Thursday and come up early aiming to get on site for around 11am.

We have a CV East quiet pass, has anyone arrived around these times, what's the traffic like?

    Thanks

Are Pearl Jam completely out of the question?

Given their legacy status if they were to ever headline it wouldn't have to be off the back of a particular new release, and are strongly rumoured to have a Malahide Castle show in Dublin TBA next summer.

Granted you wouldn't place them in the 'relevant' category nowadays, but I would have a guess the average-G goer couldn't name many more than the 2/3 hit wonders that are rumoured for Saturday night (I know they can still both shift a big number of tix)

Have they been approached in the past to anyones knowledge? even considered? @eFestivals - what's the craic with Eddie Vedder lads

Colleague of mine who is a massive fan and travels the world to see them has just come into my office saying they are playing Malahide Castle in June and there are rumours on the PJ forums of them doing Glastonbury.

Has anyone else been dumb enough to, despite warnings, forget to upload a recent picture and then buy a ticket so it now can’t be changed?

the photo is 8 years old, I’m 22 Then and 30 now.

same colour hair, it does look like me but, obviously 8 years younger. Worked fine in 2016 when I also did the same fucking thing!

im guessing I just need to carry up to date ID on me at the gate in case they question it?

yes I am a moron before anyone says anything....

Yes me, my picture is about 7 years old I think although still looks like me

Ok so next year is my first glasto. To add some positivity and to hope I’m not swimming in mud....

what is the perfect Glasto weather? 30c is too hot? Rain obviously sucks ... so what is it everyone wants?

    23°C and light cloud.

    I haven't been on this thread since 2015 ?

Right, I've created 6 Virtual Machines across 6 datacentres, across 3 continents.  Plus my local desktop and a laptop tethered to my phone.  I make that 8 IP Addresses.

    I bet I don't get a sniff!

There's 5 of us across three locations with a total of 9 ip addresses, nothing else to do except pray ?

I definitely one year (don't recall which but it was 2011 or earlier) got a ticket before they went on sale at 9am.

Fired everything up, clicked the link as a test and got through to the booking page.

It must have been 10-15 mins before they were actually due on sale.

Anyone else get this or remember the year?

Yes the same happened to me, got them at 8:55. I have had a few years off so have not been since 2015 although have had the stress of ticket day getting them for my daughters. My eldest daughter got engaged at Glastonbury 2017 and is getting married end of May next year and wants us to go again with her.

Thats the one I'm checking. You could do some of the others but last year I did that and filled in a preloaded registration page only for it not send. Wasted at least 10 seconds trying and then by the time i realised it wasn't going anywhere they'd all gone.

My preloaded reg page worked last year.

Yes, I got them for my daughter last year despite the fact I couldn't go. She missed out again this year so am trying again for her!
