People who can't remember rain in 2014 were either in tents a lot or thoroughly wrecked or have memory issues.
Right, just been through all of my 2014 pictures and it looks okay to me, not much mud and plenty of pictures of us all laying around on the grass with the sun shining.
I have found one picture at the pyramid stage when Rudimental were on with dark black clouds but I'm sure that just missed the site.
So I'll say it again, 2014 was not a bad year!

It just underlines that total rainfall isn't an adequate indicator of how 'bad' the conditions were. To use a sporting analogy, it's like saying a defender is good because he makes lots of tackles - it doesn't paint the full picture.
2011, in my mind was a bit of a grim struggle - rain from day one, pretty cold and muddy until Saturday or Sunday. Getting around was difficult and I was cold and soggy from before I even got through the gate.
2014, there were some big storms when a lot of rain fell in a short period of time - like in 2005, too - but overall personally it didn't feel like a struggle at all.
This.
I thought I was losing it, too much cider, 2014 seemed okay to me, don't remember long periods of rain at all. 2011 seemed much worse as there was plenty of rain leading up to the festival so it was very muddy but still had a great time.

Can somebody in a car arrive after me in my motorhome and still park next to me?
Think they'll have to park in the car parks and walk to cv east.
-
Got to be fair, the contact Neil gave me did a great job, sent the old one back on Saturday and the new CV ticket arrived this morning.
-
Surely it must be time for Big Dogs walks?

Fell down a gully after we, well I, drunk a bottle of rum in the dark. Landed in nettles and brambles, which broke my fall although it did smart. However, thinking I've done some damage to me ribs. Wouldn't be able to carry much at this rate...
It hurts!

Cracked a rib a few weeks ago, it's slowly getting better but still sore, Hopefully another 9 days will see me back to full fitness!
-
Had to return mine but they have promised to get it back to me this week.

Anyone know how much rain the site got yesterday?
-
Looking good

Afternoon all.
Anyone want to see some charts I knocked up showing probability of different rainfall scenarios for Pilton based on gfs ensembles?
Yes

Think I am going to play stupid and just go with what I have got. If I hadn't been before i wouldn't have noticed anyway. Just spoke to someone else and theirs is exactly the same so there must be a lot of them out there.

So is mine!

But shit for crowds at gigs.
Between the music!

Take an umbrella, good for rain or good for shade.

I'll have packed the camper and be ready to leave when Mrs psychology finishes work at 1pm. Then all she has to do is make sure she has her clothes and toiletries and away we go hopefully to be on site around 5-6pm. However, even though I pack everything including food and booze. she always seems to forget something!
Then it's the traditional Tuesday night CV east barbecue.
-
So they're either coming Thursday or Friday. If they come on Friday, I won't see them until Monday
Both of mine have arrived the day after the dispatch email, so hopefully you will get them tomorrow.
-
Finally daughters ticket arrived, last of our group but more importantly had the CV ticket with it!
-
YES! im off work today and had a crumpet for breakfast...also tix arrived!
Result.
Crumpets for breakfast!

10 after today

One thing to keep in mind coming out on the Monday is that it'll probably be right only out onto the A37 Southbound at Pylle exiting the blue route which means you'll have to turn round to get North. We drove as far as the Queen's arms at Wraxall (BA4 6RJ) then turned round in their car park which was roomy enough then headed back north up the A37
That's exactly where we turn round, don't know why they make you turn right.
-
We have always done M5, M4, M32, then through Bristol onto A37 no problems except for the nightmare that was 2009.

compass Suntor 130, dealers version of an Avantgarde. Just got a new awning. This will be the 6th Glastonbury in it, can't beat sleeping in a proper bed, having a toilet and shower, and bacon sandwiches in the morning.
We love weekends away in ours and always spend a couple of weeks in Cornwall every year.

Hardly a mudbath, and it didn't rain for long.
Seriously, do I need to give up my beloved cider?
