My money is on a 'No Deal' Conservative PM being picked, the EU standing firm and at the last moment in October a Vote of No confidence being lost (with a few Conservatives like Hammond, Clarke and Grieve voting against their party). Parliament would take control of business in the house (with Bercow support) and either request an extension or Revoke Article 50 if there was insufficient time and we would then be into a General Election that would result in no overall majority for any party.
The alternative is the new PM realises that a Second Referendum is their only hope of avoiding the General Election at which they would be wiped out and puts it back to the people (after asking for an extension) and Remain wins by 55 to 45.

The sad truth is that most people who are saying we should leave with no deal basically think it means nothing would change. Some people think it is actually the same as staying as we are!!
https://yougov.co.uk/topics/politics/articles-reports/2019/03/12/deal-no-deal-or-delay-what-public-thinks According to YouGov poll about 1% think No Deal means remaining in EU.

I was talking to a Co-Op manager who works on Festivals. They said they would be selling crates of beer at Glastonbury (but not any brands that have a franchise on site). They are strict on age verification and confiscated more than 230 fake IDs at Reading Festival. Meal Deals are a big seller along with Instant Noodles. To prevent fraud they have a system where they take the receipt from you as you exit to prevent you nipping back in and picking up a second item. At Reading they were taking about £10k an hour through the checkouts.

The pitches are 8m X 7m. If you fit within that space then you should be ok. You need to keep a gap between vehicles for fire separation. If bigger than 8m X 7m you need to stay in Bath and West showground.

All I want is Bramble FM and something silly on the Sensation Seekers stage (and a lot of cider in the Bimble Inn).

The media will almost certainly judge it on total share of votes
The issue is how do you count Labour and Conservative votes? In this election they are wasted votes.

We are having a Brexit themed party this Sunday (called a Fete worse than Death) and I'm compiling a playlist for it.....assume I have the obvious leave/remain toons, but I'm hoping to use the eFest humour engine to suggest some more obscure/witty ones (along the lines of 'ferry cross the mersey', 'I predict a riot' or 'making plans for nigel'.......any suggestions?

A friend plays in the Springfields (which was Dusty Springfields band and includes Mike Hurst who was an original member. I keep telling him they should try and get a slot on the Acoustic. Anyone know who does the booking?

Favourite is Avalon, then T&C (Lost Vagueness and original Arcadia if I'm allowed a time machine). Bimble Inn is also up there.
Worst is also Silver Hayes (although the original Pussy Parlure and Cubehenge were quite good. John Peel stage doesn't do much for me either...

There tends to be an EFesters meet on the Thursday. I'd be up for it if there are any other EFesters interested.
Name a place and time!... Is there some way for eFesters to identify each other?

Block 9 East's field's previous incarnation as Glasto Latino was a huge space that was very underutilised. It was as much a pass-through to the rest of the SEC as it was a destination in its own right. It makes sense that they give people more of a reason to be there rather than moving straight through it to the other areas.
Edit - though they did move Arcadia out of that field because it used to cause a bottleneck of people trying to get in, so we'll have to wait and see how they manage it this year.
Glasto Latino is now next to West Holt's which makes more sense

Baileys for 8 of us because it is easier to carry in tents from Campervan West (where 4 of us are staying) and there is a bit more space.

I always wear a 2m X 2m cotton scarf. If sunny acts as shade. If cold acts as blanket. If wet acts as sort of rain hood. Doubles up as towel and cushion as well...

Was talking to a friend who mentioned that at Knebworth in late 70's there was a 'dossers tent' which was a large marquee with coir matting. You just brought your own sleeping bag and rollup mat. Would seem like a good idea for Glasto for several reasons (fewer abandoned tents, more social for solo campers, good option for coach, cycle travellers, drier if it rains, darker in the morning, option for late arrivers, etc...).
Not for everyone clearly but do you think it would be a runner?

Any chance of the Nation's best local radio station this year?
Yes please. They are comedy genius. There is no finer way to spend Friday afternoon at Glasto....

Theresa May was in Henley this Saturday (presumably just shopping with husband Philip) and I spotted her from the other side of the street and shouted "We still want a People's Vote". She turned and looked at me (she looked like death warmed up) but said nothing.

It's done a couple of runs, but never more than 45mph! I can't imagine the A303 will be flowing any faster!
