  1. Hi there,

Me and my mates next year would love to get a camper van go to a festival around June/July time then straight onto another festival the following weekend.

Has anyone got any suggestions of what 2 festivals follow each other at that time of year?

We are thinking of going to a big messy one first, something like Glastonbury/Isle Of Wight/T in the Park, the doing a smaller one the following week but don't really know what to go for.

Any help would be much appreciated,

    thanks

  2. I think the timetable fits in well for me at the momnet and not really that much time of not seeing any band, just enough to get food and drink

I can see maybe one more addition in the shelter and a few more on the Saturday. I've seen on rockblogs website that there are still some self confirmations that are not on the line up yet including And you'll know us from the trail of the dead, so they could fit into one of the gaps either in the Shelter or Marquee which would be good!

  3. I've heard that Snoop Dog has recently been announced for Lowlands, does anyone think he will be announced for Pukkelpop?

I'm not really a fan but would be good for comedy value.

I can't really see an act that big fitting onto the line up though.

Has anyone got any ideas who else will be announced and when?

    Thanks

  4. Yeah the new announcement looks good to me even though I haven't heard of much of them.

I love Vampire Weekend so I'm very pleased about that!

I agree the Howling Bells, Passion Pit and The Virgins are good as well.

Does anyone have any idea when the timetable is announced?

And has anyone else noticed that efestivals have put the line up onto the website now, it's been on there for about a week now I think.

  5. I would like to have a list that shows what acts are playing on a day to day basis that can be easily be printed off.

I have problems trying to print the one off on the official site and this website don't recognise that there are any bands playing. Does anyone else know somewhere that can be printed off?

  6. Yeah I realise that Yeah yeah yeah’s have had 3 albums ;) , just haven’t heard their newest one yet, looking forward to hearing it though!

I thought that the Killers were a bit unrealistic but thought it was possible, with the festivals they’re playing this year.

I’ve got a few other possible’s with Lilly Allen, the wombats, band of horses and ladyhawke.

Does anyone know when the next annoucement will be? Not worried too much because I'm going to be buying my ticket next Friday but it would be nice to see who else is coming.

    Cheers

  7. I hope the Manics play, they are amazing live! One of my all time favourite bands.

I've had a look on a couple of websites and there seems to be chances of a couple of these acts playing.

Kaiser chiefs - Put on a good live show but not great

Yeah Yeah Yeah's - 2 good albums would want to see

Vampire weekend - Saw them at Werchter last year, quality

    Courteeners - Quality first album

Eagles of death metal - Anything Josh Home does is good

Glasvegas - I'd imagine they will be a good festival band

Friendly fires - Brilliant live show and great for a tent

Jamie T - New album out this year and a good performer

Killers - Playing Lowlands and are fantastic live

Ocean colour scene - Brilliant live, great albums, very under rated

  8. I think that some of the highlights for me are Arctic Monkeys, Faith no more, Kraftwork, Snow patrol, Offspring, deus, The Ting Tings, Bon Iver, Alter ego, Black box revelation, The Hickey Underworld, Mew, Florence and the Machine, The Subs, Dananananaykroyd, Fight like apes, Howling Bells and And so I watched from afar.

So not too bad for me so far and there's plenty of acts that I haven't heard of so will investigate and then there's about 100 or so more acts to be confirmed!

    I'm looking forward to it.

  9. What I generally meant was that Oasis and Coldplay are probably the biggest ticket sellers.

Having went last year I do know that Werchter has about 2 headliners a day but don't really agree that Nine inch nails or Kaiser Chiefs could headline a 'big' festival.

I just thought that the reason why they have so many big names is because of the lack of other stages or things to do other than the music. I'm not trying to Werchter because last year was great and the bands playing this year are good as well just suprised that they sold out so fast.

  10. Thanks for that,

    very helpful!

It seems a very chilled out festival, which is good. I like the fact that most stages are in tents as well. My birthday is on 6th May so just in time for a nice birthday present

That's great news that and you will know us by the trail of the dead are playing, they're quality live!

  11. I was looking forward to go this year as I really enjoyed it last year, but the tickets seem to have sold out far faster than last year. My mate managed to get a combi ticket last year in mid May!

Do anyone think it was because of the Oasis and Coldplay factor? People can say what they want about them but they sell sh*t loads of tickets.

I think we're off to Pukkelpop or Lowlands now

  12. Hi there,

I'm new to this part of the forum.

I went to Werchter last year with a few friends and loved it but am looking for something slightly different so I thought Pukkelpop would be a good choice.

I'm just wondering, I'm going with someone who is disabled, he can walk ok but has a major limp and finds it difficult to stand for long periods of time. Does anyone know if there are disabled viewing areas available at Pukkelpop?

    Thank you!!

Oh and could anyone tell me when the rest of the line up or the next announcement will be? I've also seen a couple of different guesses with when the tickets go on sale. Does anyone know for sure?

    Thanks a lot!
