Why didn't that bugger turn up then? Not that I mind, seeing Caitlin Rose again was a massive bonus.

Has anyone mentioned Truth & Salvage Co?
They would be just the job around tea time on any day.
-
Ta very much. Very fed up now that I missed Lefkowitz in the tipi…….when was he on?

I thought security was much more relaxed this year than last year……..the boys and gals didn't look so much like steroid beasts. I wasn't aware of the robbing until now though.
They had a spate of thefts at Wychood for a couple of years, always seemed to be on the first night though, which seemed to be the case here. Maybe people need to be reminded very strongly before the fest that the place is likely to be targeted on the first night and to be extremely, profoundly cautious.

I thank you very much for your efforts, that Felice one sends shivers down my spine found the low anthem stuff too and have been tweeting like a nutter. Keep us posted of any more you put up.

Doing Helen Fry in the Tipi. As it were.

Wigging out!

Just came across this video of their final song. It's rather lovely.

I have no favourites and trust eotr to astound me anyway. However, come mid afternoon on the Saturday and Sunday I need something to wake me up and shake me out of some lethargy…………..Ozomatli would fit that particular bill.
-
I honestly don't get why anyone would want to sit down at a gig. People don't just sit down in the tipi, they lie down, sprawled out, just getting in the way.

Caitlin Rose: One of These Bottles
Wilco: Handshake Drugs
Elliot Brood: Don't know the name of any of their songs, but pick any one from the set.

I was disappointed with the Bath Pig, the chaps serving were really enthusiastic about the product which was nice, but the chorizo was very chewy and gristly. The burger from the organic burger place was ace with some high quality halloumi on it, but my meal of the weekend was the goat curry, which was beautifully spiced.
Pie mash and peas for breakfast on Sunday was just the job and sustained me through the rest of the day.
Cafe Dish is my favourite spot on the whole site, the workers there are amazing, and it's really nice just to sit and chill for a bit and still hear the music.

Don't see a weather thread here.
Anyone know (?) what it may be like?
Been pouring ALL day here in mid-Devon

We took our huge bear lake last year, and a table and chairs and a cooker. We never had any trouble finding our spot! Bear in mind it is quite a hike from the car park if you have loads of stuff.
This year it's just me and my mate………a couple of pop ups and that is more or less it. My first ever festival without wife or kids. I am slightly nervous.

The chaps who were playing with Alasdair Roberts did one late on the Sunday last year, but it is all a bit vague!

Does this price include the van?

Do the Felice Brothers still do songs written by Simone? If so:
Radio Song
If not:
Ballad of Lou the Welterweight
Wilco: At Least That's What You Said
Trembling Bells: Baby, Lay Your Burden Down
-
Simone Felice supported by the sublime Jeb Loy Nicolls and the excellent Deer Park last week in Cardiff. An unbelievable 6 quid……how the hell can a line up like that be so cheap?
-
Whoops, a bit trigger happy there!
-
To be honest, I'm not all that enthused by Fridays line up but my must sees are Elliot Brood, Trembling Bells and Edwyn Collins, I am absolutely certain that there will be plenty more to enjoy though
Saturday is more difficult and there some excruciating clashes but I will be miffed I don't get to see at least part of all of these:
IRON & WINE
THE UNTHANKS
DEER TICK
PHOSPHORESCENT
TIMBER TIMBRE
VOICE OF THE SEVEN THUNDERS
BLACK MOUNTAIN
CAITLIN ROSE
OH RUIN
JONNY KEARNEY & LUCY FARRELL
CITAY
Sunday is just too good and I could happily spend the whole day at any of the stages, but the last 3 acts on the garden stage, for me, are unbeatable, and I can't wait.
Choosing will be easier if the tip tent hasn't improved since last year, in which case I shall give it a swerve.
-
No need………..it's gonna be beautiful

Do you think they should announce Papercuts for next year now, so that they can get their cancellation in early?

possibly the major highlight for me, in a festival of highlights, because they just blew me away. I said on my blog that they seemed to be enjoying it as much as us, and they were!
Have a listen to their podcast the EOTR crowd gets major kudos. It's towrads the end, but I recommend listening to all of it.
I have come to love this band.
