Well I quite like Natalie Imbruglia, so am quite happy to see her added to be honest. I agree that the lineup is pretty weak on the whole...but as has been mentioned, how many bands can you fit into the weekend anyway? 15-20? There's enough good in there to keep me going - Peter Doherty, MGMT, British Sea Power, Starsailor, Elbow, Ocean Colour Scene, Dizzee Rascal, Human League, Mystery Jets, Ladyhawke, Natalie Imbruglia etc.

Got mine. Most difficult ticket buying experience ever, though. Refreshed from 8.30, had the whole form filled out by 9.02 - and then I just kept getting 'Sorry link is broken' type messages after submitting details. I re-tried for the next hour; refreshing, starting again from scratch. I then got to the end to be kindly met with a "Sorry there are not enough tickets to meet your order request." I waited about ten minutes, refreshed - and it was no longer sold out but again the site crashed after entering card details. Called SeeTickets who gave me my reference number and confirmed it had all gone through OK!!
Absolute nightmare!

Saw Oasis headline in 2005, and The Killers in 2007 - thought both were really good, essential festival bands really. But I like to try and see different people each time, so don't plan on seeing either this year.
Not interested in seeing Keane or Fatboy Slim either, so just awaiting Arena headliners before I make my decision. Pete Doherty looking likely for me on the Sunday night, and MGMT on the Sat if they end up headlining (surely they will drop a slot?)

Quite a few of the ones mentioned so far would please me
The Maccabees

Also, to add:
Fever Ray
Marina and The Diamonds
Amy Studt
Fight Like Apes
Pete and The Pirates
Los Campesinos!
Skint & Demoralised
A Camp
Frank Turner
Master Shortie

Well I went for the first option...who knows if thats red or yellow?! And forgot the car parking ticket. I think I was expecting things to go wrong, so just wizzed through before they could.
On the plus side - I've got my confirmation email!! YES!

Got mine also. Fast and painless - no refresh issues!
It's just the confirmation email to wait for now...after all of the problems I had last year, I won't rest until I've got it in front of me!

A lot of the line up is predictable and dull.... so many bands coming back that played in 2007. A handful of great bands that I'm yet to see though - The Specials, Elbow, MGMT, Pendulum, Pete Doherty, British Sea Power, Ocean Colour Scene, Dizzee Rascal, Seasick Steve, The Saturdays.... excited for these.
-
i agree, another budget headliner for the ch4 stage, reminds me of the kooks a couple of years back
-
Early afternoon JJB would have been better I'd have though, like Gabriella Cilmi last year. I don't imagine she'll go down well on the main stage.
-
I wouldn't be surprised to see them headline JJB this year. Yet to see them live so would definitley go and watch them having already seen Oasis and The Killers previously.
-
I enjoyed them last time - good atmosphere. Crowd was quite small for that time of day, so perhaps they'd be better off high up C4 or JJB this year.
-
I would expect The Ting Tings, Katy Perry, Lily Allen and The Saturdays to all be at V this year. I also saw Taylor Swift on GMTV this morning saying that she's doing some UK festivals in August....I imagine that must mean V, I can't see anyone else having her!

I love seeing bands that I've not seen before, so a good line-up for me would be:
Coldplay
Jarvis Cocker
Pendulum
The Strokes
Moby
Jewel
British Sea Power
The White Stripes
Sheryl Crow
Tracey Thorn
PJ Harvey
Tracy Chapman
Ocean Colour Scene
A lot of them are possibilities. I think realistically, we will be looking at:
Oasis
Coldplay
Keane
Pendulum
Jamiroquai
Rihanna
Bloc Party
Franz Ferdinand
Scissor Sisters
Feeder
Kate Nash
The Automatic
Cajun Dance Party
Dido
James Morrison
The Fratellis
Get Cape Wear Cape Fly
Hadouken!
Ida Maria
Katy Perry
Ladyhawke
The Ting Tings
Laura Marling
Lightspeed Champion
Noah and The Whale
MGMT
The Music
Mystery Jets
The Enemy
Natty
Santogold
The Subways
Vampire Weekend
David Gray
Leona Lewis
The Strokes
Goldfrapp
Adele
PJ Harvey
Natalie Imbruglia
Lily Allen
Klaxons
Justice
Tinchy Stryder

I think it will be a Taio Cruz-ish spot also - low on the JJB. Looking at the current running order, maybe just before Human League?
I think he's self-confirmed somewhere. Currently #1 also - and we know how V love to book the flavour of the month.
