The location and feeling like a part of the festival is the draw really - being able to stand up inside is very nice too! The biggest downside is in wet years they do let a bit of rain in, although you can adjust the rain catcher to mitigate it. Also the toilets were arguably worse than the ones 2 mins away outside in Pennards after about day 2.

Yes - always just go to Pennards

Apparently they played Other Stage in 2013, second from top. I'd say that's probably still their natural slot.

Yup. It was actually an enjoyable gig. The Zeitgeist / Oceania tracks went absolutely fucking nowhere - but I recall Rocket sounding mint 👌

  3. Today by Smashing Pumpkins is on now and it's fantastic.

Could Smashing Pumpkins play the Legends slot?

They're legends if the early Chicago response to grunge in the 1990s and have more big singalong tunes than Kenny Rodgers?

Perfectly happy if someone else is playing but am intrigued about people who refer to their two songs

I'd have thought Virginia Plain, Love is the Drug, Jealous Guy and Avalon pretty well known?

If Fezza had carked it in 1980 and his estate had decent PR people he'd be way more revered than he is now.

I found this quite interesting on Bowie-laundering:
