Immodium.
And TravelJohns - just search for them on Amazon
-
Will certainly keep an eye out...
-
Nice one. Quite a few good names coming out the woodwork yesterday and today.
-
Last year, a Swedish hip-hop swing group called Movits! - totally tore up the Bimble Inn on the Thursday night.
Ended up seeing them again the next night in Croissant Neuf as I'd enjoyed them so much...
-
Most of them are copied cassettes and live performances, I think.
I was in Syria for a while last year and had a look in a few record stalls in the various souks but didn't see anything by him at all.
In fact, I played some Omar Souleyman for a few locals and all of them hated it. One even said that it was the worst example of that type of music (dabke) that he'd ever heard.
-
Hell to the yeah!
To both Omar Souleyman and no KOL.
West Holts perhaps - though mayber better suited somewhere like Club D...ada
-
I could dig it!
-
Nice - but not, for me, a headliner. Sorry Gruff, but I'll be elsewhere.
-
Mark Thomas will maybe be doing his current show about walking the length of the Israeli 'Security' Barrier.
I would like to see it as it seems the tour isn't coming to Edinburgh, but doubt I could sit through an hour of it on a sunny afternoon at Glasto, despite my interest in the subject matter.

North African Merguez Sausage and Goat's Cheese Bourek FTW!
From the place in West Holts (near the Goan Fish Curry stall).
-
If it's going to be anything, my bet's on the West Holts line-up at some point later on this morning.
Not basing that on anything, though. Except the post in the African & Latin thread that seemed to hint heavily at it.
-
Three solo albums. It's a bit lo-fi and all in Welsh, but still counts.
Edit: Actually, 4 if you count the Tony da Gatorra one.

Ray Davies
in Chat
Yup - Ray was magic last year. Moving, warm and lovely - even if the crowd was perhaps a tad on the small side due to the footie.
-
Yay - Dengue Fever up as TBC on the West Holts on the Friday!
-
Maybe not as a headliner, but I'd genuinely love to see Erasure...
-
As much as I love SFA and Gruff, I was hoping to see him a bit earlier in the day, perhaps while I'm getting my post-brunch pint down me.
-
Nope - just that along with his own dates that he'll be headlining the Park Stage (and also Truck, Field Day, Green Man and End of the Road).
If the last few are also inaccurate then maybe that's the case with Glasto as well, but I haven't been following the line-ups for all the other ones he's supposedly 'headlining'.
-
He's been known to play the odd SFA number (Psyclone got an airing at a show I saw him doing supporting The Flaming Lips a few years back) but I wouldn't bet on it.
-
He is according to an e-mail sent out to his mailing list today.
Dunno if I see it, to be honest. Maybe as a sub-headliner, but is he really that much of a draw as a solo turn?
(His new single Honey All Over is a cracker, though).
-
Intriguing - I certainly will, sir.
-
Why would someone need to 'type up' something that's presumably already an electronic file of some sort?
Pre-submit edit: Ah - suppose it could be a scanned image or pdf.
-
no it wasn't. It was announced at the exact same time by Glasto as well as the Grauniad.
-
Yeah - I read that review as well and really got me buzzing to see him. Seems to be playing mostly in France this summer, but its just a short hop away.
-
Ah - will need to check 'em out. There's an act called London Afrobeat Collective on the line-up and rumours page, but I don't know much about them.
Seun Kuti is touring the UK at the moment, which probably rules him out for a return visit in 2 months time.
West Holts announced.
