Done
in V Festival
I'm such a dipstick...went on at 9..it had most my details pre-completed so by 9.01 I clicked on 'submit'...something popped up saying 'thank you for booking...' I didn't read the rest but jumped in the air in excitement and promptly knocked the computer off...so then had a frantic half an hour trying to get into my hotmail account to see if it had gone through...what a donkey!
-
This line up shits on last years thats for sure
I was gonna say the main stage on saturday had an awesome run of bands until i saw james morrison tucked in there? Still OCS FTW
-
Quick question from a noob-
I've got my code but will the tickets appear on the main see tickets site at 9 or is there a secret link to go to, the seetuckets.com/virgin doesn't say?
-
yey - bloody excellent!!
-
On the official V website!!! Get in!!! YES!
-
Would be good to see them...but doubt it will happen at V. sure thing for Glasto though...
-
I very much doubt this. For once EFestivals have got this wrong.
The only way this is happening is if V have payed lots more money than Reading/Leeds. V can do that thou I suppose, so it's not impossible. They will be at Glasto, and at one other main English festival.
-
doves.... oooh that would make me happy!
-
TITP is the most expensive UK festival and probably on a par for V for prices for drink/food etc
-
got a mate who knows a few people who hang out with the specials and he reckons they're definately not playing...i hope he's wrong but the fact he bet me £50 they're not playing suggests he knows something...
-
Based on the price, line-up and how long you get...think its T in the Park for me next year. Think V is more concerned about keeping the sponsors happy (19 last year!) and c-list freeloading 'celebs' who get backstage at Chelmsford so they can get their mugs in The Sun than the doughnuts like us who have to scrimp and save to pay for it!
Vote with your wallets next year guys...
-
What an absolute, steaming pile of pants! Are they trying to put people off going this year or what!??!
Gutted!
This is gonna be my last year at V...and this time, I mean it!!
-
OHMYGOD! A band everybody seems to agree on! You watch it not happen now!
-
So after last years shambolics with the updating/rebuilding of the website anyone thinking will we maybe get a new one sometime next week.
Although I am hoping for one, I can't see it happening comparing there's meant to be the first announcement on Monday.
Discuss....
-
I quite like the current rumours but then again this will only be my 2nd V(if I will be lucky enough to get tickets)
It looks like there will be good alternatives to Oasis or The Killers
-
Kaisers headlined C4 last year so can't see them headlining again this year. If they do then it really would cap off what is turning out to the the most uninspiring and lazy V lineup ever. They will be high up on main stage if playing.
-
I think the credit crunch has hit the V organisers hard...they're having to recycle the same bands they've had playing there for the past 3 or 4 years...
Right, now where do I sign??
-
Where and when would they play?
I expect main stage for snow patrol and maybes kaiser chiefs, but dunno where they'll fit in tho
Elbow on C4 or JJB
-
ok elbow sounds good pleased about that
but kaiser cheifs were there last year and snow patrol 07. I always look forward to V but I'm starting to get that almost dissapointed feeling now. I feel like theres been hardly any effort on a good line up. Praying for some suprises next week.
Am I the only one thinking this?
-
they're only 15 days behind eFestivals then - they're getting better.
-
Thing is...you know that there will be loads of tickets put back on sale during the course of the year...or a mate willhave some spares or whatever...but I try not to let myself get excited until I have mine booked....
-
Does anyone think tickets might be easier to get hold of this year due to everyone feeling the pinch at the moment? Or do we expect the usual mad rush for tickets next Friday?
I suppose it depends on the line up but I know quite a few people who are thinking of giving it a miss this year or waiting to nearer the time to see how their funds are.
I usually get tickets for a few of us but think Im going to be selfish and just get them for myself as I cant afford to be waiting for my 'friends' to pay me back. Although I dont want to end up going alone!
Thoughts please
-
i love elbow. beautiful music. not bothered if they dont headline just as long as they have a good slot. will have my reefa ready for that one. just hope they play big time. not sure where i would want them to play. would like the intimacy of the jjb but it could get really rammed and be a sweaty uncomfortable pit.
hopefully this year we shall have sun and they play at sunset

Only seen them once before and a certain singer was completely off it and spent most the gig sat on a drum riser reading the lyrics off a bit of paper...but hope to give them another go this year...
