Am I not right in thinking that depending on the reason he was sacked claiming job seekers may not be straight forward ?

Ouch, sounds like complete bullshit but anyway time to move on.
I'd suggest you sign onto the dole asap as they don't back date money and jump straight into looking for some work/meeting as many recruitment agencies as you can now as you don't want to be stuck at home over thinking things.

The bigger problem isn't getting onto the site, it's the police and sniffer dogs at the train station. They set up about 3/4 mini tents to conduct searches and as soon as one is empty the officer in their tent will go out and get another person to search.
Still very little chance of being picked out in a crowd though.

It seems pretty clear to me that Fergie watching him the other night was to say "run down your contract then sign for Utd".
He's a more than decent player, who is/was going to end up at one of the leading clubs. If a player like that is available for less than £10M - which is obviously is - then any of those leading clubs would put in a bid if they have the money and they're half confident of landing the player.
So either Utd don't have the money, or they've zero confidence of getting him regardless of what they might bid.... but if they had that zero confidence of getting him, Fergie wouldn't have gone and watched him. So it's the money.
