wont be going this year neither act does anything for me.
the venue needs an amazing stage show to go with the backdrop .. flaming lips delivered perfectly
dont think these two will.... dont get me wrong both great, ther just not for me!
but will keep updating top post when more bands are announced

knowing my luck my flight will be delayed massively and i will miss loads of acts!
serves me right for booking a flight which arrives at 4pm

giving up hope on heavier acts ...... looks like it will just be indie and electro

many of the bands will be the same
although the year i went it had Massive Attack headlining instead of Guns N Roses .... which was much much much better
but it defiently better than Leeds fest

really good set up
small campsite ... very loud though as full of us english
brilliant venue with great sound and easy to get too.
up there with the best festivals ive been too.
hopefully they have built a roof on the main stage though as Arcade Fire had to be cut short halfway through due to torrential rain.

Rodrigo Y Gabriella are playing a few fests in July in europe ..... would love them to be added to the lineup

i also reckon Deadmau5 will be added as they have been announced for another fest in july

well i would say the weather
but the 3 festivals ive been too abroad has had by far the worst ive seen
although thats a big reason for me going to Optimus alive this year
another reason would be doing it as a holiday and spending some time experiencing the culture and country a few days before or after
they tend to be more relaxed and laid back than the Uk Fests and i like that also.
Also alot are cheaper... however with the exchange rates being poor thats less of a factor.
although i doubt i will go to a uk fest again. my Best festivals have defo been abroad

yes but if they have the buyers photo on them what then?
especially if you cant go or doing it for a favour etc
i presume your not going to put your friends photo id on each individual ticket?

trouble is with that people will buy for there mates as well ... and then if your ill and cant go for some reason or go at different times then would you be turned away?

hoping for a mars volta tour as well with there new album out ... but imagine it will be after the festival tour of ATDI

one way around it .... probably wont work
but if ticket websites allowed you to get a refund ... for face value. you wouldnt be entitled to your booking fee back so they dont loose out and you have to post them back yourself. and then a month before the gig put all the tickets which have been refunded, back on sale in one batch.
then put a ban on secondry markets like viagogo etc or make sure they are not allowed to sell above face value.

if Refused get announced ..... i would have to take a week off work just to calm down
the one band touring this summer that i have to see
plus it would save me money as i wouldnt have to go to the sunday at Sonisphere (uk)
