  1. Great question. I've never had the guts to move when I've been annoyed by talkers, cos I don't wanna newly block someone's nice view (and I'm not even tall). I think I should though, just somehow find a nice place. It would feel awkward, though.

  2. With so many decisions to make all the time, I think it's best to accept that you'll make some mistakes. That's just inevitable, so accept and roll with it. 🙂

Having said that, my main mistake was walking all the way up to Diana Ross after she'd started, only to end up trekking through the back of a crazy overcrowded field and thus deciding just to leave again to get a good spot for McFly ... which I ultimatly didn't enjoy cos I thought I'd recognise a load of songs, and I only knew 2 ... while everyone else around me was loving it.

But the rest of my festival went well 🙂

I didn't realise it had ended! He played a song, then a woman in the crowd had a bit of an emotional moment with me, saying how proud she was that Kendrick was standing up for women's right, etc, and suddenly the next thing I noticed, the lights were on and the show was over! I couldn't believe it! I'm gonna have to watch it on tv to see what I missed, but it must have been quick! 😅

    Cracking show though.

I've just watched it back on BBC ... no wonder I didn't realised it ended, he literally just walks off! 😅

greatness. just insanely good beginning to end.

the ending when in the crowd felt a bit like, is it over? is he coming back? but looking back the ending was perfect. delighted he went for this type of performence, artistic and iconic. sensational stuff. 10/10

95% of traders accepted card last time - the exceptions being tiny places mostly in/around the greenfields and tipis.

Expect it to be more like 99% this time.

Interesting. Makes me think I shouldn't bring much cash ... tho I suppose, as a backup (in the lockups) if I was to lose my card, may not be a bad idea.

  6. I've always used exclusively cash at Glastonbury, but the card/cash question just entered my mind right now. Should I bring a lot less cash this time, cos 'some' places use card. Will it be most, or a minority? What do most people expect? Are you packing much cash?

  7. Having barely known Kendrick until a week or 2 past, I've been bingeing on the latest album, Damn, To Pimp A Butterfly and M.A.A.D City. I gather this may be completely against common opinion, but it's the latest album I'm drawn to the most, and Pimp A Butterfly which I mostly struggle with.

I'm looking forward to him now though, after having no Sunday headliner a week or two back.

That sounds right, it was a tweet from the end of May. Not sure why Zapier would pick that one rather than the more recent test one, but it sounds like you're on the right track!

One thing to note is that services like Zapier will only check for new tweets every 15 minutes or so, so you won't get alerts instantly. The Twitter app push notifications will be quicker (assuming a good network connection) so it's worth having both. SMS for if the data connection is struggling, and push notifications for speed (if the connection is good).

Ah, I have indeed got today's Testing message too. I just didn't realise that was from secretGlasto, I thought it was a generic Zapier test.

I believe I'm still setup since last Glastonbury, but the last one I got was June 2021.

Update : I've just set up Zapier, and a message came through about doing a jig. Is that it?

Damien Rice playing a secret set

I would lose my mind if this happened ... but he barely ever plays live I don't think.

  11. @FloorFiller and @Tommy Dickfingers, thanks for your advice.

For context, in regards to what I wanna listen to, it's simply what Kendrick is likely to play.

In regards to what I've liked in the past in the genre, I've not heard a lot, but I do love XXXTentacion, and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy By Kanye West. I also somehow love the song Humble already, but in the past I've tried To Pimp A Butterfly and struggled to get into it. But I'll try some other Kendrick stuff now, seeing as I'm struggling for a headliner on Sunday (if only Jamie T had been Sunday, not clashing with McCartney on Saturday! 😆)

There are probably only two or three things that are my "must not miss". And Jamie T is one. Sadly so is McCartney.

Likewise. Do you know what you'll do?

I'll almost certainly see Paul, as I've never seen him before and have seen Jamie many times. But I'm such a big Jamie T fan, its such a shame to miss him headline the tent.
