  1. This is our campsite just before the last job of taking the gazebo down and packing it up.

By the time we left all that remained was a pile of unused firewood and some rubbish & recycling bags (all fully sorted/separated of course). I even tidied up the remains of two camps next to us (They were pretty good actually, all I really did was consolidate all the rubbish and recycling). Before we left I made everyone walk in a line across where we had camped, picking up butts, wet wipes, roll-up filters etc.

  2. I suspect the BBC puts a fair amount of cash Glasto's way and if they want decent pictures for their coverage, it's not unreasonable they might want some control over the number of flags to be exercised - the alternative being that we the punters make up for the shortfall in income through the price of the ticket/prices on site.
  3. Going back to the camping equipment being left on site...

They were talking on Simon Mayo's show this evening about how people should go camping more and that there are many cheap tents to be had etc. Also mentioned taking them to festivals... So I thought I'd text in with the YouTube video in mind and whaddya know, he only read it out!

  4. Left the campsite at 3pm, started the car engine at 4pm (in West 25) and were on tarmac by 4:15pm. A little congestion in Glastonbury town and then on the A37 as we approached Bristol but we turned into a back road and relied on the SatNav. Back home in Norwich after dropping a few people off on the way at 11:30pm Probably the easiest Glasto exit ever for us. As far as I could tell the organisation in the car parks was much better than in previous years, but by the sounds of others there was still some room for improvement.
