  1. I had a friend miss out in the original sale, so I tried for him a ticket in the original resale with no luck. During last weeks resale he wouldnt answer his phone and when he did he said he'd have to confirm he had the funds for a ticket, he never did so again he missed out.

His best friend, a first timer this year now going with two couples, confronted him over the weekend about him being distant with me over the tickets, basically told him he'd have a ticket by now if he hadnt messed people about, his response, considering he's never been to Glasto was.....

"Im not bothered, to be honest Im a bit too old to be getting down and dirty at festivals anymore (he's 29, Im 32, and he last went to a festival in 2011), its just not me anymore, Id rather spend the money on going to Turkey for a week"

His best friends response "man you've changed" !

Big shame if you end up faffing around for someone who couldn't care less, but if he's not been he obviously doesn't know what he's missing the clown!

  2. Anyone who thinks it stands to reason that there would be GA tickets, just to point out that there were lots of us looking last year and the unannounced resales only seemed to be for coach.

Maybe the GA ones got absorbed for other replacements or whatever?

  3. I was the person who mentioned it in the other thread linked to above. In our case it was always in a cool box which was in a well aired awning alongside a caravan.

It was wrapped in a few tea towels and each day a few beers were removed from that box and moved to a bag with ice packs.

Apologies if I've contributed to the inevitable holy war, it's not something I've chosen to take without the more responsible adult that was with us during those previous years.

    Love and kisses.

  4. I'm gonna be keeping an eye out for the further resales for some friends who sadly missed out today. May even go so far as to finally join twitter!

Here's hoping they're not all coach only tickets...

Last year mine was Wednesday 8th May, the only page-follow-tool I spotted at the time had a cost so I joined an fb group where someone was subscribing, but I'm sure the twitter option already suggested is more swift.

I had to get coach tickets from London, but even though we live north of Bristol it actually wasn't too bad. We just set off early that day on a train and then headed across to the o2. Given the alternative of having my first fallow year it was vastly preferred and also better than the earlier resale where I'd only seen Edinburgh and Glasgow coaches.

  5. Wow was that 2004?

I'm surprised it was that long ago, but it was certainly the set which started with rock n roll star.

It was a good laugh as long as you were in the right mood and enjoy their songs.

I'd be surprised to see them go from that to headlining 10 years later, but some years they seem to pride themselves on choosing unpredictable headliners :)
