Are we talking Bonnaroo? or is there something after that?
Think you’ve quoted the wrong post there, I have no clue where they’re playing

The simple answer for why media is giving us wall to wall coverage is because people want to know what’s happening.
The media will hype it up as every view, click or newspaper purchase means more money for the media companies from advertising. They will be loving this crisis and earning an absolute fortune from it.
Stick to independent news sources, use ad blockers (not on this site obviously) and avoid trash like the red tops as much as possible.
Obviously people want to know what’s happening but the more people know the more people will panic and believe the situation is something the world has never seen before, which it has and dealt with accordingly.

The main stream media + stupid people = a mess
See general election for example...
I obviously was referring to the whole situation and not just the virus 😂, the public reaction seems to be spiralling out of control. Already seeing shop shelves empty of soap and sanitiser (good thing that people are taking note that they need to keep their hands clean), but if it continues you could potentially see people start panic buying everyday groceries and toiletries and we don’t need that. People need to calm down.

Jay Rock’s verse on King’s Dead is something special for me:
-
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard out of the game now for Park headliner?
-
If anything is making this worse than it actually is then it’s Sky News. Minute by minute updates and whilst their coverage of it is extensive it’s making people panic. Why do you need an hour long episode on it every day? Why do you need to receive mobile phone notifications by the hour with updated numbers of those that are infected? That’s then causing people to go to social media and post a lot of bollocks that people then believe to be true to make even more people panic. So as much as I agree that social media is a cause for this outbreak of being completely blown out of proportion the route cause of it all is Kay Burley and her non-moving botox filled face.

If anyone has travelled by coach AND car before I would greatly appreciate your insight!
I travelled by car last year, and got there on the Tuesday night, this year I'm travelling by coach (I couldn't get a coach package, but I booked a coach from Birmingham to 'Glastonbury Festival' and I arrive at 06:30am). I've just got a couple of questions;
- Do coach travellers queue in the same queue as people who have travelled by car, or are they each in separate queue? (I've heard varying things regarding this).
- Is there any difference between travelling down by coach with a coach package ticket, and just a general National Express coach ticket (apart from the former getting their festival ticket on the coach)?
- A friend in my group is driving (getting to the festival for the Tuesday night like last year) and we're sharing a tent, we're not sure who would be best to take the tent, as we don't know who's more likely to get in first?
Thanks in advance!
I suppose it depends on where you plan on camping and also your journey to the coach pick up point. If your friend is entering through the opposite side of the site (through Gates B or C) and you plan on camping on that side in maybe Big Ground or Kidney Mead or even if you plan on camping on the southern side of the western side of the site in Paines, Pennards, Park Home etc and your friend is coming through Gate D then it might make sense he or she taking the tent.
Also your friend has the luxury of the car so if they took the tent they could enter the festival with the tent and the essentials and then head back to the car for the rest of their stuff / supplies. Whereas you will only have the one journey carrying all of your things with you at once so not having to lug a tent along with all of your kit and supplies might be a bit of a burden off your shoulders. Here is a map of the site where you can see where the 4 gates are situated, as @Lycra has already mentioned all of the coaches and public transport travellers enter the site through the pedestrian Gate A -

Why do you think this random Hollywood rumour clown, who hasn't been relevant in over a decade, is some how worth posting here? Fucking melted man.
Because he may know someone who knows someone who knows some info?

Was it not the same user under a different name?
Edit: And Mr EFestivals had changed their name to Big Bellend?

Caribou and Mac are like for like size wise IMO. Same venues and both headlining Green Man. I don't think they'd stick Caribou in the middle of the day anywhere though, that would just be a waste.
Floating Points doing West Holts (probably 3rd down) seems like a stick on for me.
Floating Points > Caribou > Thom Yorke
Would be an absolutely lovely run on WH

Are you giving up your ticket then?
Something’s telling me they’re after a ticket

Also, all of these festivals and big events, they all pay taxes, the government likes taxes, it’s in their interest to not cancel these events.
-
Would it not be better advising the elderly to stay at home and put services in place where anyone over 75 was cared for in the way of food deliveries etc.
-
Is it actually as bad as it’s being made out to be? Obviously it’s very transmissible so it’s easy to catch but it also seems very easy to get rid of, obviously those at risk need to be safeguarded but do we really need to be cancelling shit?
-
So now that it’s mutated is it now just basically a cold? We can’t be cancelling shit because of a cold

Thank you! The fever breaking has me cocky though the cough is REALLY BAD still. Ah well another day of hanging on my couch watching youtube and reading efests for me! 🙂
I agree 100% with your supposition that it's likely much more widespread here in the USA and it's a much lower mortality rate because of unreported cases. The last person the news has highlighted in NYC that tested positive has had his symptoms for a month! I think at this point the stories we are getting via the news are like a "Best Of" the virus, not the total story of the virus itself.
I agree with you except that I think it's fair to get my money back so I list at the price that does that which, thanks to initial service fees plus stubhub fees, looks a bunch higher than the initial ticket cost. I check those sites mostly to see how "in demand" a show I am going to is, and to know how easy it will be to sell if I can't make it.... which I apparently can't based on this cough - i put my tickets up for sale this morning. 😞
Why do you have to use Stubhub? Can’t you use Twickets or just advertise them yourself on social media? A friend of mine has a ticket and train ticket (as well as paying for part of a hotel with his mates) to the UFC in London later this month which he now cant go to. I agree that you would like to get your money back and I said to him that I couldn’t see him getting a buyer for both the train and the event ticket so would more than likely be losing out on cash unless he tried to sell his ticket for over the odds. He’s hoping that Corona Virus comes to his rescue now and he gets his tickets refunded.
