Don’t think you can consider them as Coachella headliners, they stepped in last minute because Frank Ocean screwed it up the week before. Four Tet is huge in the scheme of things but you could argue that he’s only succeeded at Ally Pally due to the Squid Soup lighting. I also can’t imagine them to be stuck up about playing there, it’s the biggest club in the North by far.

I understand people are desperate to be there but I can’t see loads of people paying strangers who’ve promised tickets using bots, you’re asking for a scam on mass scale.

Disagree entirely that Four Tet & Skrillex were smaller then. It was 2019, Four Tet had already headlined shows at Mayfield (2015) on his own merit before WHP properly took it over. Four Tet’s been massive for years. Skrillex was arguably bigger when he was realising all that mad music in the early 10s.

Why? They’ve only been playing with each other for a short amount of time so they’ve not really been able to announce dates in advance. Skrillex & Fred are both playing Parklife which has been announced months in advance. Four Tet & Skrillex have actually played Mayfield together in the past. It really wouldn’t be that unrealistic.

Similar capacity to Ally Pally. Tickets’ll sell like hotcakes but I genuinely think it’s on. In comparison to other artists who’ve played Mayfield. Chems, Massive Attack, Disclosure etc, they’re not much bigger than them, they’re just the flavour of the week at the minute which will die down pretty quickly now that Skrillex’s album is out there. Definitely doable for me.

Last gig was Bicep a few weeks ago. As expected, absolutely unreal. Superstars of the electronic game in the making.

There’s a part of me that thinks that it’s supposed to be like that yano. It’s messy as hell and absolutely all over the place but it’s meant to be a bit daft I think. It’s not meant to be taken dead serious, look at them playing they’re absolutely taking the piss.
