Standing ovation for Emily if she does that. Reading the last few pages of this thread. I also think Lana should have headlined last year. She was not in a transitioning phase. She already was already headline level. Does not matter that shes has radio hit singles or not. She has another type of music. Putting Guns 'N' Roses as replacement for Rihanna was ridiculous.

Olivia Rodrigo has 1 hour 20 minutes of material (two albums + two popular non-album songs). That is if you play them song after song, but live there are time gaps between songs. With one or two special guests, Avril Lavigne for example who will be around, she can definitely fill a 1 hour and 30/40 minutes set.

A Rush of Blood to the Head was not released yet. Not even a single. First single "In My Place" came 5 August 2002. And Yes, I know they played songs of it in their set. But the public did not know any of those songs. They got a headline slot (as a replacement but even then) with only one album of 40 minutes of known songs.

I agree with all you are saying. But you are talking about "hype" now. I was talking about the other poster's argument about how much material an artist has available to play in their set. So no, in view of how many albums/material, Billie is not the only comparison. In other aspects maybe yes.

Yeah this. So many people have been asking him on twitter. But a simple, unambigious message that they are not doing it has never been done. Not that it means they are doing it, but that is the sparkle of hope.

I'm still holding on on one thing. They have not yet denied that they will play Glasto.

So in 2011, Pulp were also touring and had a lot of UK dates announced just like today, with a Glasto shaped hole. Were there clear hints then? Or was everyone acting the same like today with "wtf aren't they playing?" or "why don't they flat out deny that they are playing?"

Agree. I also wonder, maybe they really did not want to do it anymore, because they want to maintain the specialness/legacy of their past Glasto performances?

What slot do you think they will get next year that they were not able to get this year? Really don't see them headlining. I see them subbing but I also think they would have been able to get a sub spot this year if they would have wanted
