I'm not. I've learned my lesson last year with that hope. I don't see them doing a secret set (TBA or The ChurnUps-style). They did that in 2011. If they come it has to be a proper announced show.

The venue's website from the announced Amsterdam show says the following: Fans kunnen zich klaarmaken voor een exclusieve show in de hoofdstad. Onze omringende landen en zelfs de UK worden aankomende zomer overgeslagen. Translated: Fans can get ready for an exclusive show in the capital. Our surrounding countries and even the UK will be skipped this summer. Should I be worried? No Pulp at Glasto?

Standing ovation for Emily if she does that. Reading the last few pages of this thread. I also think Lana should have headlined last year. She was not in a transitioning phase. She already was already headline level. Does not matter that shes has radio hit singles or not. She has another type of music. Putting Guns 'N' Roses as replacement for Rihanna was ridiculous.

Still hoping for this. Two fresh contemporary female acts and a first proper announced show for Pulp since 26 years (which would be a lot fresher than Coldplay).

At least this one has the same logo as Glasto used themselves in their last news post about the emerging talent competition. With only yellow, red, orange and pink letters.

Olivia Rodrigo has 1 hour 20 minutes of material (two albums + two popular non-album songs). That is if you play them song after song, but live there are time gaps between songs. With one or two special guests, Avril Lavigne for example who will be around, she can definitely fill a 1 hour and 30/40 minutes set.

A Rush of Blood to the Head was not released yet. Not even a single. First single "In My Place" came 5 August 2002. And Yes, I know they played songs of it in their set. But the public did not know any of those songs. They got a headline slot (as a replacement but even then) with only one album of 40 minutes of known songs.

I agree with all you are saying. But you are talking about "hype" now. I was talking about the other poster's argument about how much material an artist has available to play in their set. So no, in view of how many albums/material, Billie is not the only comparison. In other aspects maybe yes.

I don't get this argument. Just straight out of my head. Oasis 1995: one album. Coldplay 2002: one album. Arctic Monkeys 2007: two albums. Stormzy 2019: one album. Billie Eilish 2022: two albums.

Agree. With Olivia Rodrigo and Dua Lipa, there would be two contemporary headliners.
