Stupid question but if the legend would piss off the old guard, how does that make any sense? It says to me they dont sound right for the slot.
Perhaps it makes sense if you know who it is but it seems like an odd one to me. its almost a pre requisite to please the old guard.
I’ve got it guys. It’s steps!

Thankfully it’s fake. Slipknot scheduled for elsewhere on the date stated above.
I don’t think I’d be able to sleep if AC/DC were around next year and the possibility of them topping the pyramid. Absolute fantasy stuff that I could only dream of!
Thankfully?! i was booking my eurostar for that friday.

DISCLAIMER - I haven'r read this entire thread 🙈
Not sure why I was so categoric they hadn't been mentioned before. So sorry.
And please don't take that as they have been listed. But what I've heard isn't Roxy Music. Or Take That.
Only been back 5 minutes and I've caused havoc!

That's funny. We'll throw every name in the ring at some point.

Damn missed this new revelation yesterday. And not been mentioned at all in the thread thus far? Very interesting…
I would’ve liked Roxy but it always felt a bit of a strange one for them and they would undoubtedly have pulled one of the smallest legend slot crowds in ages by a big margin. Hopefully they’re still there though - third down the Pyramid could still be a goer, perhaps on the GnR day as a bit of a dad rock run like they did with Metallica.
They said it’s not been mentioned before their post. Even if it’s tall tales, I love speculation

I have info on who's lined up for the slot that I can't divulge. Which I get is super annoying.
They haven't been mentioned on here thus far and would have huge crowd appeal whilst pissing off swathes of the festival old guard.

It’s just occurred to me… If Robbie fit it perfectly then wouldn’t Barlow too?
Barlow doesn’t have any hits as a solo artist, does he?

Source is a personal friend of the act though no intel is infallible I guess...
I’m taking this as confirmation of Sean Paul rather than anyone else mentioned

Moulettes on Friday were great. Venue was WEIRD (sr pancreas old church) but suited their vibe entirely.

I think it’d be best to lock this thread. The arguments are going in circles and it’s getting pretty toxic.

Just managed to bag 5 tickets for me and my mates to go to our very first Glasto. Camped Leeds and Download before so obvs have festival experience but wanted to know if there was any useful information (I.e. which campsites are best etc.) or anything you’d have wished you’d known before you’d been the first time?
cheers!
Welcome and well done getting tickets. I remember your username from the reading/Leeds forum.
my advice would be - throw out everything you know about festivals, glasto is a different beast.
Oh, and accept that you will cry at some point during Sunday. Your body and mind will be broken though exhaustion and those tears will be coming- 1
Live gigs - Who you've seen were they good, bad etc.

Aly & Aj last night sounded great at Shepherd’s Bush. The crowd were desperate for Joan of Arc of the dance floor but they didn’t play it. To be fair, I wouldn’t either of people kept yelling it out.
off to see RedCar (fka Christine and the queens) tomorrow in cirque D’hivier in Paris. Feeling fancy as fuck
