  1. You’ll hate the new ECMWF that dropped earlier on then! Huge improvement on Thursdays ‘wet’ run. Average rainfall now.
  2. That’s subsided a tad in the evenings run, especially over Glasto!
  3. Gav’s vid earlier one of them weekly charts showing pressure (CFS v2 weekly) showed us in a high for festival week too.
  4. Get some of the longer range models to agree and we could be cooking
  5. Metoffice were stating the Low was coming from southern Europe (the continent). That seems to be what's happening next weekend as opposed to the weekend before Glasto. This throws it all up the air even more. FIngers crossed.
  6. Hoping the sh*tty weather is just for next week and doesn't spill over but starting to get a bit nervy now!
  7. GFS model always seem to put you in/around low pressure this far out. It’s so unreliable at this point. Doesn’t stop me looking tho 😂 Best sticking with the new daily ECMWF extended charts as they are a tad more reliable, albeit they currently have the whole UK wet for that week so bit of a kick in the balls. Too early yet tho.
  8. Models now indicating a plume (all the rain from South Europe) starting next Friday.. Weatherheads - I’m guessing we’d rather this happen nxt wknd rather than the wknd before Glasto/ the wknd of Glasto. Right? Hoping high pressure follows!
  9. Everything trending towards rain 😞
  10. I jus wanna be able to sit down. I dunno if that’s encouraging on that basis. Maybe it is? I’ve never been to glasto when there’s been a few big downpours, just constant rain, and sunny (albeit with a few showers one year).
  11. TAPS OFF. Waterproof on. TAPS OFF. Waterproof on.
  12. Met Office: Saturday 17 Jun - Saturday 1 Jul High pressure is likely to become less dominant with time, especially in the south with low pressure likely to approach from the near Continent. Northern areas may hang on to the largely dry conditions, but southern areas will see an increased risk of occasional heavy rain or thunderstorms from time to time. Any changes will be slow though, and there will still be plenty of dry and warm, sunny weather between any rain or thunderstorms, with temperatures widely above average, perhaps significantly so.
  13. the 2016 thread is in the hall of fame. It's absolutely goated.
  14. I recall that ECWMF being REALLY bad 2 weeks (1 week?!) before the festival last yr, so yeah good point.
  15. It's a bit ambiguous atm due to people not knowing when/where the high pressure is going to end up. That avg rain in the ECMWF is thundery rain instigated by us in the south essentially being in the middle of a low and high i believe. Trends are heading in us having unsettled weather tho. Week before festival was being chalked up to be 'wet' by recent model runs but now it looks ok. It changes a lot, but ofc at this point you'd rather it be looking decent. It's a bit far out yet tbh to worry.
  16. BBC Outlook updated. Hoping all the sh*t weather is June 12-18 (as we head into the second half of June):
  17. he's going to have an absolute field day on this..
  18. don't read the Netweather monthly forecast btw unless you're the nal
  19. For those stressing/worrying about the weather already after a few early charts and brief monthly outlooks, Met Office have already drastically improved their Long Range Forecast compared to what they published yesterday: Saturday 10 Jun - Saturday 24 Jun A north/south split is possible as June progresses with northern areas having a better chance of continued dry conditions, whereas the south may be slightly wetter than average. Winds may also be stronger in the southern half of the country but remain light in northern regions. In general, the temperatures are likely to be above average; eastern coastal areas may feel slightly cooler, however, in the presence of onshore winds.
  20. Put it this way, we were on a coach coming into Pilton and was sitting in a massive queue of traffic for hours. I could've sworn Emily did a Tweet or IG post saying something along the lines of 'If you've not left, don't leave yet'. The floor was that fucked. It was Wednesday. It was a bit miserable tbh. Brexit, mud and Coldplay.
