I really wanted to catch Cassette Boy vs DJR this year, I know they're there every year but I've not seen them before and who knows about two years time. But...
Glade to JP in 15 minutes for the start of King Giz - maybe the site is a bit quieter and easier to navigate Sunday lunchtime (aside from bumping into a lot of Sunday-only people), but I'm going to have to miss the start of one or end of the other
Get there early if you do go to CB v DJR. It'll be very busy.

We're likely to go see The XX & Radiohead on Friday night, with decent spots inside the barrier preferred for both.
Any other stage and we'd wander off in between, but not so sure it's sensible at the Pyramid. What would you do in the hour gap? Any suggestions?
Also, to save starting another thread... what's the right level of drunk to best enjoy Wheel of Four Tunes?
-
They used to have 2 stages in Left Field tent back when it was in it's proper place.
I miss the old Left Field, pushed out by the gentrification of Williams Green...

Only missed one year since my first in '99, so that's 14 soon to be 15.
Guess who played in 1999? Yep... bloody Muse and Coldplay again!

Crate of cider, 1litre rum, 1ltr flavoured vodka & a shit load of ket up the arse

It does if you try to do it all at once. Easiest way is one can at a time.

Busted?! What year is it?
All the points going to the goal scorer and no recognition for the assist... so have one on me.

My first glastonbury in 2013 we left sunday night as we werent bothered about anyone on last on the sunday night and we wanted to beat the traffic monday morn, please explain what I have to do in your eyes to redeem myself now as a `proper` glastonbury person? lol That post was hilarious , if your not being ironic or taking the piss your one fuck of an arrogant tossbag....I would go so far as to say that kind of elitist attitude rules you out of being a `glastonbury person` full stop, `proper` or otherwise!
Not quite the same though is it... not fussed about anyone and wanting to get away early vs. here's two bands I don't like (but I do like Biffy).

Hey, I just turned 48 - it's not bad so far, so you should definitely consider it.
p.s. sorry NI... I'll try to track a confirmation down over Easter!

Take the holiday on Friday and Monday.
Then create your own relaxed start to the festival by not jumping straight into the bands first thing on Friday unless something particularly appeals. Have a lie in and then wander through the greenfields, stop for a beer, go and chill at the acoustic stage etc

Cheers. Although previously I've been hot and cold about that.

Where would you start with Katy Perry?
(sorry)

Thom Yorke has an estimated net worth of $45m dollars (according to a google search). How much should he pay if he wants to come along in a year he isn't performing?

The consensus appears to be that he's a huge pile of shit.

The low income / unemployed / student side of this is much easier to implement than the 'high earner surcharge'.
The maths might be slightly off, but 135k people x £243 = £32.8m
An allocation of say 35k tickets at £100 would generate £3.5m and could be subsidised by everyone else (100k people) paying £293 to bring in £29.3m.

Apologies if this has already been asked and I missed it, but is this a specific next announcement thread or a generic one? i.e. after we get the next announcement, do we need a new thread or can we carry on in this one?

There is a cure for those in the West campervan fields worried about the long walk home... just pop into the Bimble Inn or Rabbit Hole for one last beer before bed.

I quite enjoyed the tracks on the Spotify playlist, but late afternoon on the Other unfortunately kills the appeal for me.
