But obviously there's not that many people posting. And what's special about the 30 regular posters that the festival would monitor them? Out of those, only a handful have any real insider information. Are the festival monitoring leaks?

Basically, the question I'm asking is what has happened that makes you know that the festival monitor this place?

I was contacted by a festival (not glasto) and asked to remove a post on here. If that fest was monitoring this place it seems likely glasto would too.

Quick question on tickets bought in resale, do they go to everyone's house or just the lead booker?

I thought it went to everyone but my girlfriend who was lead booker is the only one with the dispatch email. Cheers

Just the lead booker. If you buy in the resale you pay for 1 lot of postage and they get sent together.

My mate got stuck the sticky mud in 2012, going from the track towards Glade. It took 4 people to free her wellies. This was at 4am on our way back to our Hitchin Hill camp. Not drunk (much 🤪).

    2012? Must've been pretty damn drunk! 😂

Did anyone use the app last year? I didn't even download it before as the clashfinders/website listing's still seem better to me

I mostly use clashfinder, but the official app is useful for getting notifications of any last minute changes (also I've been going for 20 years but I still need the map 😂)

Looks like they’ve addressed the crushing at the top of the Pyramid Stage field (presumably for Coldplay). Pathway on the Hawkwell side of the hedge to take you up around the top of Row Mead and split the Big Ground camping… even less camping up there though.

Yes, it wasn't on last year's map but that's the route we were sent for Elton (coming from Caroline Polachek in woodsies, stewards were blocking the path at the bottom of row mead & sent us up round the top)

whats AED on the key ?

    Defibrillator

Edited to add: I assume they've had some in previous years, but not marked on the map before

Yes - I've very much moved away from the "traditional" top loading rucksacks, and more towards a hybrid design that also functions as a duffle bag / holdall. If I was buying a new one for myself, today, it'd probably be this one from Decathlon.

Although the size of that may be too large for the question - something that big works well for festivals but may be too big for lugging around Europe.

Yes, unless the interrailing is also going to include camping I'd recommend something much smaller (50L max, but the smaller you go, the smugger you'll be 😂). But might be pushing it to get the ideal bag for fests and the ideal bag for travel for £100 so will have to compromise somewhere.

Osprey tend to be good quality, but can be a bit pricey.

    Great news for Moonchild Sanelly!

Ah, enjoyed her in silver hayes a couple of years ago. Not looking forward to it if the crowd is going to be rammo with people who are just waiting for the next act 😞

I saw something on Twitter that there's a leak that a band called Mis-shapes are playing.

I think that's a pretty big hint that it's Pulp.

Was the leaked info this? It does say "fake" on it

For the record I think its KOL and I have not checked the artists are on the right day. As well as poorly formatted which I claim is to stop people nicking this and claiming it's real....

But if we allow ourselves to dream for a second.

  10. Loving Switzerland and Ireland. Olly did seem a bit off on Tuesday, but think that was down to tech problems (he was holding his mic pack by the end of the song) so hopefully will be on top form tonight.

  11. Back home after a three-week holiday and I've averaged over 20,000 steps a day. The only day I didn't get to 10,000 was when I spent 11 hours on a bus.

Now I just need to convince my boss to give me the rest of May & June off so I can keep up this level of fitness 😂

I’d just looked at google maps and saw 36 min from the airport to greetham street.  So thought taxi for way down.  Reckon that’s unrealistic on festival day?

Usually fly into Gatwick and then train to southsea, but figured these flights were better to avoid abandoning the kids for an extra day 😜

train from Southampton looks between 1hr 10 and 1hr 30.  Meaning nearer 2:30 before we’d get to festival

Yeah, there are no direct trains between the airport and Portsmouth. If the timings work out you could get a taxi from the airport to Eastleigh (only about 5 mins drive but puts you on a direct line to Pompey) and get the train from there, but they only run once an hour. If the flight/train times don't line up you're probably better off taxiing the whole way and hoping the traffic's not too bad.

I second the notion you use a stand in ring mate. It will cut your anxiety and stress levels beyond belief not having to worry about losing it in some fail army kind of way.

    Good luck though 👍

For some reason my husband seemed to think I had massive sausage fingers so the ring he proposed with was far too big! I'd also recommend a stand-in ring, and/or a chain it can be put on if it's not the right size for her finger

What kind of ratings are we talking here?

Marks out of 5 or 10? Not out of 6, surely? Percentages? Stars?!?!

Haha, normally just 1 = deffo, 2 = maybe, 3 = they're at victorious so don't need to see (saves me having to cross-reference multiple clashfinders at the fest).

Then I import my husband's clashfinder highlights, which are usually 1 = deffo, 2 = probably, 3 = maybe, so I end up with a 6 colour system.

Would appreciate one of them putting on the SEC/ Glade onto clashfinder.

Because I'm really cool I tend to use a colour coded system to try and go through all the acts and rate the ones I want to see/ avoid etc. So I don't need them in the right order, but just on the system haha

I'm also really cool, so I use a spreadsheet to note down my ratings (must-sees, nice-to-sees and can see at a less clashy festival so don't prioritise seeing at glasto), then put them in the clashfinder once halvin's got all the timings in there.

They were still at Other stage in 2007. Bloody horrible, especially in all that mud. Think they went completely in 2008/9.

I think 1 of the arguments for switching the fallow year from 2011 to 2012 was that the Olympics would need a f**k-ton of portaloos, so they must've still been used at glasto then

  17. 1 hour ago, Hotfry said:

2012 Olympics used a lottery system. There was an equal amount of moaning from those that didn’t get tickets.

Yes, I got some fairly last minute tickets for a couple of things at the Olympics because people who got them in the ballot didn't actually want them so they went on general sale. Loads of people applied for events they weren't really interested in because it was a lottery system.

Is the combination of registration (uploading a picture etc) and lottery conceivable so that a shifted ticket can not be legit and acceptable (with a different picture from the ticket holder who bought it from a tout etc)? Faking a ticket could be possible, yes, but replacing a picture printed on it would be a fiddly and time-consuming business I assume.

Oh, and you need to register every year, every time, to be in for lottery in this way.

Or am I missing something here?

The problem with the lottery idea is that people who aren't really bothered and who register on a whim will have just as much chance as those who normally put in the effort for the sale.

It's like the London marathon, you get keen runners applying and failing year on year, and someone who's never run before (and won't bother training and might not even turn up) ends up getting in.

Blatant misogyny clearly aimed at Peggy Gou

I don't like much of her recent work but she is a serious artist with proper tracks, has played the berghain etc. you'd notice that if you weren't focused on looking at her skirt

Ah, come on now. He said "women" rather than "females", that seems to be good progress for this person 😂

if anyone gets a single spare ticket please let me know!

That's not how the glasto sale works, but if you're already registered good luck in the resale 🤞

There are ticket competitions being run by:

    Co-op (pre existing)

    Vodafone (pre existing)

    Guardian (pre existing)

    Brothers (pre existing)

Tony's Chocolenly / oxfam (pre existing but relatively new)

    chillys (new)

    barbour (new)

    Hunter wellies (new)

    White Claw Hard Seltzer (new)

It also seems these tie ups are resulting in far more tickets being available in competitions, as Vodafone have pver 100 pairs and the Chillys comps are giving out six at a time.

The main issue is probably also that the new ones are with companies which seem marketed at a certain demograaaaphic.

I think the barbour 1 was tickets + an upcycled jacket in colab with Oxfam or something, rather than just a barbour thing

Mine was the latter experience, great looking place but the focus was clearly not on making nice cocktails.

By comparison the ones in Latino they didn't do anything clever - had a finite selection pre-mixed, so they could serve a big queue quickly and they were delicious

Is it still peacocktails in Latino? They're the same company as cockatoo so mostly have the same cocktails
