Going to invest in an aeropress for this year. There's something about being able to have a nice coffee sat outside the tent first thing without having to go wandering for it.
But what about the hot water?

This topic is giving me tent envy 🙄
Ive just returned a Vango carron 500 as it had defects when we put it up. Shop exchanged it like for like, but I’m starting to already regret it. Mr Fomo, that’s me!

I listened to them earlier for the first time consecutively after the hype on here, not really my jam.

I could see you from my Bedroom window in Neston. It always looks like there is a nipple on the top from this side of the Dee🤣.
Assuming it was Moel Famau?

Both correct!
We walked from the top car park, but it’s pretty much day one so will defo be back to give the other routes a go.

I see it like this. From who is currently active / will be active soon.
Sells out anything she puts her name to instantly / every release is guaranteed best selling album of the year - Adele
Comfortable stadium sellers wherever they go - Taylor Swift, Beyoncé
Can sell out ‘a’ stadium night or two - Gaga
Not yet sold out a stadium but probably can soon - Billie Eilish
Not yet a stadium seller - Dua Lipa
Combined Billie sells way more tickets than Gaga. Billie’s sold out something like 6 nights at the O2 (about 120k tickets) amongst a bunch of other UK dates. I doubt Gaga could sell out more than 2 nights at a stadium. Can’t compare her to Billie as Billie hasn’t tried to do a stadium yet.
Point well made but….
You’ve also got to consider who they’re selling out too. Eilish gets a lot more younger crowd and agree she’s not on there level.
i would say that Beyoncé is Adele level and above, with Taylor Swift being roughly that level.
Gaga does more films than stadiums these days but could easily draw in one of the biggest crowds ever at Glasto if she was to headline.

@Beaver89 definitely not the same level as Taylor, but very few artists are the same level as Taylor. I’d say Taylor and Beyoncé are the two female pop acts who can comfortably sell out stadiums anywhere they go. They are both a slight notch below Adele in terms of demand and size but that’s splitting hairs.
Billie is obviously a notch below that because she’s a newer artist, but again, billies way bigger than most other female pop stars operating at the moment. Comparing her to Taylor is not a fair comparison.
Below?
No.
Dont forget Gaga too.

Yes that’s the one. Full stand up for me and the Mrs (we are short arses!).
Not sure how easy it is as haven’t put it up yet. Might do that this weekend time allowing.
It’s not crazy heavy- 9.2kg. Comfortable compared to the Icarus

Been a long while since I lived in Chorlton. The Bowling Green and Horse & Jockey were regular Beech Rd haunts.
Dulcimer, Electric and Lloyds on the main road.
The Laundrette is pretty good too.
Fun but random fact; The Bowling Green was on that channel 4 show “Four in a Bed” a couple of years ago.
The house prices there are crazy though 😱

I've been looking for an Vango Icarus tent for a while and it is finally in the sale with Go Outdoors.
https://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/15980551/vango-icarus-500-deluxe-family-tent-15980551
It's been reduced to £229 and you can get another 15% off if you use code 15APR22
I also got 7% cashback from my bank account so ended up £185 including £5 for membership card!
I just thought i would post in case anyone else was looking for a similar tent, or wanted to take advantage of the 15% off.
This is an amazing deal. Had also been waiting for it to come down for the last year.
we decided it was possibly too big for both of us for Glasto and didn’t want to risk it getting trashed. Plus the weight of it…
We caved and got a Vango Carron instead (2022 version)

Didsbury? Ooh la la!
Chorlton was where it was at. Used to see Badly Drawn Boy in our local all the time.
Ha, Still is!
There at least once a month as the Mrs has family there. All about Beech road and the Bowling green

Ah really, I was going to say West Dids but I thought that would be overly specific. I've lived both at the Withington end of Burton Rd and just past the Southern end, and more recently with mates along Cavendish. Saw the bloke from Everything Everything while at the former as well.
You’ll be familiar with the Best tasting Burger in the world at the Metropolitan then!

Don’t you need to be able to play an instrument to be in the acoustic tent? Or maybe he will just relive his ‘dancing’ from The Late Late Show.😂😂😂
He’s playing in Germany on the Saturday so guess the gsh accounts for this.

Woohoo! Thought they'd been bumped off (not saying the other one) from the 2020 poster.
On the internet or in the street? I used to see him in Didsbury occasionally.
Nice! East or West didsbury? Used to live there for a bit.
T’internet 🙂

In the interests of road testing this I had one this afternoon. Had very little sleep on Friday as Mrs B and Baby B are both ill and I’ve been looking after them. Tiring day yesterday too, plus 4-5 beers (not enough for a hangover but could tell I’d had them). This morning I had left over Chinese for breakfast. All slightly simulates feeling rough at Glastonbury.
Anyway, I took the Kahlua branded can in the van when we went out and chilled it in the fridge, but didn’t get it too cold. I then carried it around on my pocket on the beach for an hour or so and opened it when we got back to the van. Tasted ok from the can, but not brilliant so I poured it into a steel pint glass… delicious and refreshing! Perked me up a treat. Would recommend. You Sir are a genius!
I was literally looking at those exact two drinks over the last couple of days.
Thanks for the road testing!
Now all I need is Bloody Mary in a can and I’m sorted

One of our friends came round to take the dog out today.
I appreciate everyone saying they would and have but trying to isolate as normal until we get those two negative lateral flow tests.
he got a better walk with them anyway, not sure we would have lasted more than ten mins!

Me and the Mrs both have it. She tested positive on Friday and I came down with it two days later.
Both sticking to the two negative lateral flow tests before release.
Poor dog looking in need of a walk soon though!
