He was sat near us when they did a premiere at the Everyman in Bristol a while ago.  He seems like he's still quite a character, was very recognisable and everyone gave him a round of applause when he was pointed out.

There's a page on FB with all sorts of info and they post about merchandise and the like.

Amazing, I wish I could have gone to one of the showings but we live in the sticks.

Will check out the fb page tho

  2. For those who haven’t seen it, I got an email last week about the Lost in Vagueness documentary being available on iTunes now for about a fiver to rent (bit more to buy).

Anyway, we then found it on Sky Arts for free (although my husband pays for a very comprehensive Sky package because you know- sport, so I don’t know if free for everyone).

We watched it tonight and it’s quite interesting to learn some of the back story of Lost Vagueness. Feel a bit sorry for Roy Gurvitz- without his creativeness, I don’t think Shangri- La would be anything like it is today. But he does sound like a right character!

Great to see younger Michael and Emily in it too.

Shangri-La blows my mind every time I’m there.

I know GlastoMap was killed of by The Man ( ) but interestingly if you download Google Earth, there's a satellite image available during last years festival....

I like this. Saving it to study at a later date

Id never heard of these guys until I saw them as a rumour on this thread a few weeks back.

You’ve not missed anything. They’re so dreary.

I’m in danger of having no Pyramid headliners to watch the way it’s going. I’m so in for Gaga though

Enjoying the thread massively, all the same.

I wonder if they can top the excitement of the logo painted on the field or the secret Frome gig.

Always been the poshest of posh offsite accommodation, where you imagine the likes of Kate Moss stay. Has its own helipad, spa, sommelier, carpeted tents with king-size beds and now in-tent heating ?

Well that was an interesting read. I particularly liked it where they list helicopters as the first method of transport.

I'm not gonna lie, I'd love to do this if someone would pay for me. Except for one small point - it doesn't open until Thursday?!?! Alllll that money and you don't get to go on the Wednesday??

Al Doyle will surely return to do his Thursday all-night DJ set at the Crows Nest, with special guests. If so: be there!

I sorely hope to get lucky in April and be there with you.

I didn’t know this was a thing. Will keep an eye out for him returning in 2019, cheers.

i saw New Build at Williams Green in 2013 with a tiny crowd. They never did much after that I don’t think.

They released it a couple of weeks ago and didn't tell anyone. Directed by Rian Johnson, just to make doubly-sure no weird manbabies get into them.

I’m not familiar with Rian Jonhson’s work but I see from google that he has an impressive resume.

Plus he can play the banjo and that’s pretty cool ?

    Great video.

Pretty sure this is the first 'proper' video they've done since reforming, maybe even since Sound of Silver. Nice.

Oh wow, I’d never seen this before. This is next level brilliant and real lump in the throat territory.

To me, Hot Chip have a similar problem to LCD now, they've backed themselves into a corner by putting in one of the greatest sets the farm's ever seen back in 2015. Where is there to go from here?

    Yes I concur.

I’m a risk taker though so I’m prepared to give them another shot. Although if they are lined up on anywhere other than West Holts, it is going to disappoint me.

Is Worthy View large enough for the tents towards the back to be annoyingly far away from the gate?

Nah it’s just a short stroll. I love walking tho so some may disagree

We did queue one day to get into the site tho, for about 20 mins

Some kind of secret set/unannounced collaboration with Hot Chip would be ace. Get Hot Chip headlining West Holts or John Peel and have James and Nancy trot out for a few LCD tunes!

This is the dream in 2019.

2016 was a Glastonbury I missed so I’m gutted to read LCD had a blinder

  12. Spend at least a month beforehand meticulously planning and mapping out a tight schedule of bands you want to see on each day, using clashfinder and a myriad of different coloured highlighters.

Get there, set up your tent, chuck away your plan (in recycling of course) and go and get a brothers cider from West Holts.

That always works out for me anyway

  13. Hi folks. Gearing up for 2019 which will be my 8th Glastonbury, first one in 2008.

I prepped for ticket day for about a month, including reading every single relevant page on this forum, and I barely slept the night before. Didn't even get a sniff of the booking page. Only for my mates to log on that morning and secure tickets by 9.16. I love them more than is appropriate
