  1. Thursday: Stormzy Friday: The 1975/Los Planetas/Bring Me The Horizon (3-way coheadline) Saturday: Arctic Monkeys Sunday: Lana Del Rey
  2. Big announcement either this coming Wednesday or the one after, surely.
  3. Does that mean they’re an absolute no though? LG played in 2017/2018, Biffy in 2016/2017
  4. European festivals seem to be the only dates in her calendar atm, so it’s not looking good
  5. Surely the Cribs would more likely headline the FR stage?
  6. And some are hypothesising that Cinnamon might well headline TRNSMT next year and if he does so, that day will sell out in minutes.
  7. Blossoms R1 headliner then? Surely they won’t play 3rd main again. Disappointing they’re not on foos day for sure. Pale Waves surely aren’t playing third down?
  8. Courteeners / Royal Blood (coheadline with Liam Fray and friends closing Leeds, RB closing Reading) Stormzy The Killers
  9. Kasabian last year IIRC. Travis Scott headlined Beni and subbed Reading this year. Both are festival republic so not a surprise if there’s some sharing going on.
  10. Thursday: Pale Waves, Dua Lipa, LANA DEL REY, Hannah Wants (VISA headline: Mabel) Friday: Kodaline, LOS PLANETAS, THE 1975, Galantis (VISA headline: Slaves) Saturday: Circa Waves, Blossoms, ARCTIC MONKEYS, Armin Van Buuren (VISA headline: Wretch 32) Sunday: The Coral, The Wombats, PANIC! AT THE DISCO, Example (VISA headline: Tom Grennan)
  11. The only difference between them is that Community is almost entirely populated by dark fruits acts whereas neighbourhood weekender is 100% dark fruits
  12. So absolutely nothing like V, then? The most similar festival to this is London’s community festival IMO.
  13. Yes it’s at very least 1975 and Lana Del Rey, possibly more
  14. But then again I just saw on twitter that it literally says “one of the artists you voted for will be at FIB2019 in the email” Something doesn’t quite add up here.
  15. I’m now wondering if the “your fault” thing is aimed at everyone who voted in the poll rather than the specific recipient of the email. I reckon the emails are being sent out either at random, or to everyone who bought a ticket, and the band that will be announced are the band that topped the poll, but the emails aren’t necessarily going to those who voted for that particular band
  16. Does it matter how popular they are in Spain? This festival is like 99% Brits/Irish abroad
  17. Last two years have both been 9:45pm finishes, including 2017 which was on a Saturday. Probably something to do with Haringey council being twats (see wireless thread)
  18. FR’s community in London two weeks before Beni is announcing tomorrow, would not be a bit surprised if there is crossover given that community’s top 2 from this year and last year’s headliner all played Beni, also Slaves played third down last year and were at Beni last year. The Kooks, The Amazons and Blossoms have already self confirmed on twitter for community so we can speculate certainly on Blossoms and The Amazons for Beni (Kooks played this year of course)
  19. Foals and Royal Blood are both too big for this but then bands like Wolf Alice aren’t big enough, it’s where to strike the balance. Catfish are talked about as the best indie band at the moment and some think TDCC are a future Reading co-headline, so that’s the sort of size we are looking at. Courteeners are too small down South, The Wombats are probably the perfect size for this but played only two years ago as the sub, if anything I’d put money on them to headline this in 2020. Sort of brings me back to wolf alice but are they big enough to sell 40,000 tickets at Finsbury?
  20. Nope, are you thinking of neighbourhood weekender?
  21. Courteeners as a co-headline where they close Leeds and sub Reading is an absolute banker IMO. Wouldn’t surprise if someone like Stormzy is chosen as the partner.
