At the risk of being negative and ruining people’s optimism, can people really see us going from not being allowed in groups of more than 6 in October/November to it being widely acceptable to be stood 35,000 in a car park in Spain? For me I say let the party commence but with the second lockdown mafia about who kick and scream about anything can you see governments caving to this?

Was reading on the Sziget thread about potential solutions. On site quick testing etc. And I think that’s probably something that Beni would have to look as well in order to get a decent sized crowd.

Loving your optimism! Even when the dates gets announced (if they do at all) i think im going to have a hard time convincing my group to book flights.

For me its worth the risk, 100%

Out of interest, have you ever camped / glamped before? Or have you always stayed in Hotel Orange?

Always get pay at the property and free cancellation with booking . Com so even if it doesn’t happen or the lineup isn’t for us it’s not a big hassle cancelling.

Stayed in Hotel orange the last 3 years and Marina D’or for a few years before that, no experience with the camp site.

Surely they’ll aim for the same rough dates as usual? Or do people think they’ll completely change months?

3rd weekend in July as usual I’d say. Trying to get a booking in for hotel orange just now but they aren’t taking that far in advance yet.

game over for good? Ive noticed that the other festival the management company runs - Arenal Sound - has already provided dates for next years festival as well as the first confirmed acts..

Potentially, I don’t think it helped that it didn’t go ahead on what would’ve been the launch year for the new company. Do they cut their losses or try and power through?

At what point do we accept that no news means no festival? If we dont hear anything before Christmas then i think thats it for 2021

I think it’s game over. Either no festival or a massively scaled down version which is nothing like it was.

That is a big surprise! Very interested to see who gets added. I know Fontaines DC were removed from the original lineup (just before their tour was announced). Maybe them below someone, though no idea who.

Saw a couple of FB comments suggesting Gerry Cinnamon - I hope not but there are very few this festival would get that would make me not want to go (though he is one of them!)

Courteeners to avoid the liability of putting on their own big gig perhaps?

Courteeners/Gerry/Libertines, think it’ll be one of those 3 tbh

Thanks, looking to buy my ticket around Christmas time to fingers crossed it doesn’t sell out till after then.

I think because they had to switch around a lot of the lineup when the rescheduled, it’ll be just populating the lineup with a few more acts - can’t see it being that big of an announcement, although they are hyping it up.

You should be fine, tickets have been on sale for about a year now and still hasn’t sold out.

Couldn’t find a thread for this.

Considering going for the first time this year, does anyone know when it usually sells out?

Just depends on the lineup. The first year it sold out instantly but hasn’t since.

Also, anyone know what the big announcement is tomorrow, I thought the lineup was already out?

There seems to have been another batch of refunds processed this week. Had completely lost all hope until i received another ticket refund, which just leaves me with just 1 final ticket to go.

Hopefully they're trying to sort out all the refunds before they announce anything for next year. Lets just hope they get this all cleared up ASAP and we can start to look forward to 2021 - And then we can start a new thread!

Hang on, they’ve still not processed all the refunds?

    That’s an absolute joke.

Good luck to them trying to get people to commit again next year.

Could be right, even though the Fib strikes back slogan contradicts that however they often mislead everything even when it was due to be on i.e tickets now reducing etc etc

Think the corona and refunds have finished what was basically an underfunded festival. Would be gutted if it was the case as it was medium sized and wasn’t glasto busy, perfect for anyone who’s in to the rock, pop and dj scene

I think if we do see back it’ll be nowhere near 49 quid a ticket.
Missing one festival season is a big issue, but if the same happens again next summer then I genuinely don’t know how many festivals will be able to survive.

It wasn't FIB that took fees. Festicket did. They deducted 63 euro on me for 3 tickets. I will never ever use them again. They charged me 90 euro a ticket to  begin with the day the tickets were released and then put the tickets back down to 60 an hour later

Oft that’s heavy. They never took anything off of me.

  12. Was expecting at least an announcement with a date. Looks like it’ll be one of the last to get any info out as usual.

A lot of people were making a fuss about a management fee being taken off the refund but everyone I know got the full amount.
