Very happy with the announcement of Kendrick, very different from usual stuff, I imagine we have another big band for Sunday as soad didn't say closing the festival plus they teamed with linkin park 17 so whether after or before and then the Friday is either bands that have not announced tours already or struggling to fill i.e kings of Leon/rhcp which tbh I'd love myself

Kendrick Saturday nice, wonder if NOS last min extra day affected them announcing this yesterday

This is the normal amount of names to start the ticket sales
Usually have all or most headline bands mind

not.
they got nice names but overall most of the lineups looks way better right now
1 minute ago, lighthouse said:Why? Of course these names are popular; but RW has started ticket sales with much bigger batches of names than these. Combi tickets usually don’t sell out until march at the earliest. This year they even didn’t sell out at all.
Thought my sarcasm was obvious haha

Can't wait til tickets go on sale, there will be a massive rush for them
-
Back to sleep then

Atleast if that's a headliner it creates a buzz for tickets
-
Just think if they weren't friends with pearl jam ..

Just passing on to the festival directors what I'm hearing here:
- Established headliners - not good
- Hiphop headliners - not good
- Surprising headliners - not good
- Safe acts - not good

I don't think there's going to be a 2021 edition. Looking forward to the Most Amazing Festival in History, organized by EFestival Forum though! ?
We were expecting headliners announced before the ticket sales is all , I think the overall consensus is that the names are good but it's not exactly wow let's get tickets when other fest's have a good selection of names that people can decide on now

I did expect Kendrick to be announced. Good names so far but it’s very safe.
Very safe, just don't see how this is a buzz for tickets on sale. NOS announcing another day with Kendrick maybe hindered Kendrick being announced . Nothing on Friday should excite me but with Werchter last year it just leads me to worry tbh
-
Don't get me wrong names are decent and will be seen as decent at the end but it just feels like a lead balloon.surely one last big announcement before tickets go on sale. I'll be waiting for more myself , is there an issue with headliners again
-
Would I be stupid to think Thom Yorke and streets to headline barn, pixies third main, wilco in either tent and yungblud spot higher on main
-
That wasnt worth the wait

Normally FNM on Graspop.
There are 3 weeks between BKS and RW. I don’t see them touring for such a long period. But I can be wrong off course.
What are we expecting before Christmas, just the names til Friday then nothing til new year or few more before. Getting a bit disheartened
-
I was putting my hopes on tame impala but ken doesn't seem so sure on them anymore
-
So who else we expecting for the other headliner slots, Kendrick then who else?

Just hoping we do get foo fighters ?
I find them boring personally and with pearl jam already would be a shame for me

Just hoping we don't get foo fighters

Has anyone seen this?
It's on the mad cool thread

Haim just leaked the strokes at mad cool for the Friday , looks good for Werchter?

No RHCP at RW. They'aren't in any other festival during this period. I doubt they stay in europe during 2 weeks only for RW.
Yeah I'm starting to think that might be case, hope I'm wrong mind. Just hope we get a new headliner that's not announced other places other than pearl jam

The Killers ruled out, they join Paul McCartney on TW Classic.
That is massive for one day, the fact that werchter have kept ellish, killers, Taylor swift and Paul McCartney seperate from the main festival surely must be a good sign that we ha e strong names

No need to throw tantrums just yet. By this time next week, Rock Werchter's bill will pretty much look more promising than Mad Cool's already. (To be fair, it does now already, too, but you know what I mean).
Is that to say we will have similar number of bands announced or just a better of quality announced

I don't think he will say anything :-).
